Drug Facts
Each day more than 13,000 children and teens take their first drink, according to The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA) at Columbia University. The chance that children and youth will use alcohol grows as they get older. What can you do to prevent underage drinking? Be involved in your children's lives, talk with them, listen to them and respect what they say and make clear your expectation that underage drinking is not okay. Help your children to feel good about their self and help them to make good decisions without drinking.

Thank You SMU

On January 28th the children of New Beginning Center enjoyed a SMU basketball game with Rainbow Days' Family Connection staff.  This event not only provided an opportunity for the children to experience a local basketball game, but also to be exposed to a college campus.   Among the day's highlights was the opportunity for the children to meet Peruna, SMU's mascot, enjoy a hot dog and drink, and to run down the court at the end of the game for a meet & greet with the cheerleaders. The cheerleaders gifted each child with an SMU t-shirt. Rainbow Days would like to thank Tim Leonard, Chris Bhatti, and Patti Addington  and the athletic department  for donating 20 tickets to the children of Rainbow Days. This event was a slam-dunk!
