Leadership Connection Reunion
On Dec. 20th, Rainbow Days provided a Leadership Reunion for participants of our first Leadership Connection camp this past June 2011. Student participants and their families were invited to Rainbow Days offices for a reunion and pizza party. Families had the opportunity to tour our offices, learn about our agency, and to watch a PowerPoint from our summer camp. Leadership Connection t-shirts were distributed to encourage youth to join us again for our next Leadership Connection camp in the summer of 2012. We had 23 attendees total including 10 former students, parent/guardian(s), several younger siblings who plan to attend camp this summer as well as contacts from Metrocare and Richardson High School. A returning participant shared that he continues to faithfully wear the silicone Leadership Connection bracelet he received at camp each and every day.

Thank You
Neiman Marcus
Special thanks to our friends at Neiman Marcus for their generous grant of $15,000 in support of the Family Connection program.  Neiman Marcus volunteers have been an important part of our program for several years.  We are so appreciative of their financial support and partnership with our mission.  Thank you Neiman Marcus for demonstrating your "Give. Share. Care." philosophy so tangibly with the children that we serve!

Anonymous Donor Supports Outdoor Adventure Camp
OAC 1Thanks to an extremely generous anonymous donor, over 200 children residing in area shelters will be shouting with glee this summer as they enjoy a full week of Rainbow Days annual Outdoor Adventure Camp.  For many of the children, just getting the opportunity to experience traditional outdoor camp activities like swimming, hiking, crafts, team building games and more, this is one of the brightest highlights of their entire summer.  We are extremely grateful to our faithful donors whose support who will bring countless smiles to these children's faces this summer.
Kids in Distressed Situations & Toy Industry Foundation
We are performing handstands and shouting out with a big THANK-YOU to Kids in Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.) and the Toy Industry Foundation (TIF) for their donation of toys this past year. Rainbow Days is proud to have partnered with K.I.D.S and TIF for the past 6 years; however this year, they went above and beyond!  With a donation of over  $17,000  worth of toys the Family Connection Team was able to gift TWO toys to each homeless child who attended the Saturday with Santa Family Outing.   Both agencies are a perfect collaboration for Rainbow Days as we all make it our mission to help provide children with a new sense of hope and assist in increasing their self-worth. Rainbow Days is very appreciative of our partnership with both agencies and their tremendous efforts. Thank you K.I.D.S. and TIF for helping to make our Christmas celebration even more memorable and special for our children!
