Pot of Gold Luncheon - A GREAT Success!

The 2008 Pot of Gold Luncheon presented by AT&T, raised over $160,000.  On Friday, April 18, 2008 over 500 guests joined in to support the programs of Rainbow Days. Many thanks to all the generous sponsors and supporters of this year's event!

The event was launched with a patron reception at Noble Boutique in Highland Park Village. A wonderful evening was had by all as everyone was recognized for all of their hard work. Event co-chairs were Michelle Esposito and Sabrina Schiller and Honorary Chair was David Dewhurst, Lt. Governor of Texas.

This year's luncheon honored the Dallas, Richardson and Grand Prairie Independent School Districts for their on-going commitment to helping children stay in school and remain drug-free. The event was again emceed by Todd Whitthorne and Pastor Susan Rutledge, from Hillcrest Church, led the invocation. Special remarks were given by Jim Epperson, President AT&T Texas and Lt. Governor David Dewhurst.

Special thanks to everyone who made this year's event so special, we are grateful for your support. Plans are already underway for our 2009 event; stay tuned for more details to come!

Rainbow Days Fashion Show

Fashion ShowOn Saturday, April 12th over 20 children had the opportunity to show off their fashion sense at the first annual Rainbow Days Fashion Show. The children had the opportunity to get their hair and make up done, as well as pick out their outfit for the show. Then they hit the runway in front of a live audience. The children loved the applause they received and as they exited the runway each child received a rose from Rainbow Days staff. A special thank you Whitney Smith for planning and implementing the event and her Girl Scout troop #2298 for hosting and helping throughout the day. It was a wonderful day and each child left feeling very special.

Summer Fun!

Summer is always a special time at Rainbow Days and we are gearing up for a summer full of fun! We could use your help this summer by volunteering at one of our four summer camps or helping us prepare for them in the office.
