JRC ECDIS to come preloaded with ENCs
- UKHO and JRC have announced that shipping companies fitting a JRC ECDIS will now have immediate access to the Admiralty range of official global ENCs, with all JRC systems to be preloaded in the factory with every AVCS (Admiralty Vector Chart Service) chart. >>more

Oil spill detection technology completes testing
- The results of a three day testing exercise for Consilium's oil spill radar technology, used to detect oil slicks, has successfully proven the benefits of employing this type of technology, according to the company. >>more

OpenPort customers gain Vizada Solutions access
- Vizada reports that it is to offer its range of Vizada Solutions value added services to shipping customers signing up for the Iridium OpenPort service, through a direct interconnection with the Iridium network. >>more
