Most Loved Schools ~ Webb is #1

Thanks to the loyalty and generosity of our amazing alumni, Webb Institute is ranked number one by US News and World Report among their "Top 10 Most Loved Schools."
http://www.usnews.com/education/best-colleges/articles/2011/01/20/top-10-most-loved-schools
The numbers say it all, and Webb Alumni lead the nation in support of their alma mater - ahead of schools such as Carleton College, Princeton, Middlebury and Williams. This year's Annual Fund is on track to keep Webb in the forefront of this ranking. To date we have received contributions of $563,385 from 300 alumni and honorary alumni.
Your contribution matters a great deal to Webb, and it is only with your continued support that we can offer the superb level of education that you have come to appreciate as an alumnus/a. Thank you to all who have made their gift to Webb this year - and if you haven't already done so, please make your gift to Webb's Annual Fund today by visiting us online at Support Webb. Only with your help will we continue to be ranked #1!
Congratulations to Paul Vibrans '71, the winner of our December Annual Fund drawing. Each donor making a gift to this year's Webb Institute Annual Fund by the December 31 deadline was entered in a raffle, with one winner drawn at random to win a Webb sweatshirt.

Meet the Winter Work Bloggers:
Greetings from Around the World and Around the Corner
The Webb students finished their fall semester and left campus on December 20 for the holidays. It was a short break for them, as on January 3 they all started their winter work jobs where they will spend the months of January and February - the freshman in shipyards, the sophomores aboard ships and the juniors and seniors in design offices. As the maritime industry and all businesses increasingly become more international, many students are spending their work periods overseas with jobs in Canada, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, and Bermuda.
