Greetings!
Welcome to our new shorter format!
Here is a beautiful quote for the week, from M. Scott Peck:
"It is not easy for us to change. But it is possible. And it is our glory as human beings." With our love, Aadil and Mirra |
| The Principle of Step-by-Step |

Build a foundation for healthy change
Just as it takes time to get out of balance, it also takes time to rebuild your health. You cannot expect instant healing but making small, consistent changes gives your body the foundation it needs to support optimal, long-term health. Starting any new program is about creating healthy habits. It takes time and effort, which can sometimes feel hard. The key is to take everything step-by-step.
Incorporate one healing principle (or even one element of a healing principle) at a time so that you don't feel overwhelmed. Take care of yourself by going at the pace that feels right to you.
- Reduce stress: do your asana and meditation practice every day.
- Get plenty of sleep: 7-10 hours for those who are not doing Purna Yoga Meditation; a little less for those who are.
- Soak up the Sun: Vitamin D, available from sunlight, is an easy way to effectively stop inflammation (which plays a central role in disease and aging).
For those who do not practice Purna Yoga Meditation, just practice being still. As little as ten minutes a day spent in quiet meditation can give you numerous physical, mental, and emotional benefits. Focus on deep breathing, which allows oxygen to reach the tissues and quiet the mind. Allowing space for your inner voice to emerge and guide your life. | |
