Dear Students and Friends,
I am typing this newsletter from London, where I am teaching a workshop followed by a 6-day Teacher Training assisted by Gina, Kelly, and Drew. The next stops are Finland, Germany, and Israel. In Europe, people are relieved that the American people have chosen Obama as president. Let us all send him light and our prayers, for not ony does he have the formidable task of rebuilding a shattered economy, but not everyone is happy that he is going to be president.
Wishing all of you a very happy holiday season, and sending many blessings for joy and peace.
Affectionately, Mirra and Aadil
P.S. As you read Fire of Love and give it out as Christmas gifts, please do email us any feedback about how the book has affected your life and that of those you love. We would love to hear from you. | Holiday Season Message |
|
Dear students and friends who hold a prayer in your hearts for a peaceful, loving earth, As many of you know, I have devoted my life to understanding the Divine and the shadow (ego) in myself as well as in the world, after the shocking deaths, in my youth, of my parents and sister. After experiencing many illnesses, personal death experiences and finding a connection with the Divine Masters, I have been tested and re-tested for my yearning for truth throughout the years. Now I share with you what is going on in the spiritual world to help you understand the changes that you may be feeling in your life and seeing in the outer world. As the Great Masters have explained to me, the world had been destroyed and created again 7 times before. Each time a new chakra was created, hence we have 7 chakras. It is our work not to have the earth and our species destroyed this time. This holiday season we have so much to be grateful for, as the Divine (our creator) has heard our prayers for a new world. On August 14th (August 15th in India), at approximately 9:00pm, in Bellevue, Washington a new dimension of consciousness descended through my body into the earth. It is called the 8th Dimension. It took 25 years of intense tapasya in my life to prepare my body and mind for this descent. The symbol for this dimension is the infinity symbol. The infinity symbol holds the knowledge and balanced energetic flow of oneness, wholeness, divine wealth (balanced giving and receiving), and much more. The 7th Dimension, which we were in prior to August 14th, was the dimension of duality. This is why our prayers for peace, balanced wealth, joy... could not manifest or stay consistent in our lives. In the 7th Dimension our species would have ended as prophesized in the Bible, by Nostradamus, by the Mayan calendar, and by other seers. After the decent of the 8th Dimension I actually saw and felt what would have been our reality: horrible stories of destruction our human minds created throughout the centuries out of fear and ignorance. For example, the stock market is deflecting part of the energy that would have gone into earthquakes and other natural disasters. We were destined for a serious financial depression, but that story was lifted and changed to a recession. The 7th Dimension was founded on greed, lust and power (held in the root, sexual and vital power chakras) which led to duality. The foundation of the 8th Dimension is being built on love and oneness which is held in the Heart Chakra. In my daily meditations I am guided as to how to specifically integrate the 8th Dimension into our minds and bodies and as well as into the earth. Please remember that even though this dimension has descended, it needs to be lived out through our minds and bodies. This means thinking beautiful thoughts and creating loving actions. Turn your mind deeply inward, into your heart for guidance. An enormous amount of work was done by a few committed souls to bring down this dimension. The 8th Dimension at one time could only be accessed by Master Souls through intense meditation or in death. It is now accessible to anyone who truly wants to live from their heart. Our hearts and prayers have been heard. NOW, let us learn how to be 8th Dimensional beings on this blessed earth by listening to the creator's prayers in our hearts. The next three and half years are crucial for humanity to embody the 8th dimension in as many people as possible. How to Bring the 8th Dimension into Your Body and Your Life To connect with this Divine dimension place the middle finger of your right hand on your Heart Chakra. (To find your Heart Chakra sit up erect and draw a horizontal line between your armpits. When that line meets the center of your chest is your Heart Chakra.) To create the upper part of the infinity symbol start at the Heart Chakra with your middle finger and move your right hand up the left side of your head, over your head, and then down the right side of your head back to your heart. To create the lower half of the symbol, move your right hand from your Heart Chakra down the left side of your torso and legs, under the feet, and up the right side of your legs and torso back to your Heart Chakra. Commit deeply to infinite possibility and connect with the feeling of your heart's dreams coming true. Know that when your dreams come true other people's dreams will have to manifest too. Use your hand as described above to direct this flow of commitment energy. Focus your mind by imagining the infinity symbol glowing with golden light and feel the wholeness you yearn for in your heart as you continue to surround yourself with this symbol. The meditation techniques I teach in my classes help facilitate the flow of your spirit into your body. Do them often throughout the day to help with this major transition in your life and on this earth. To learn more about these techniques please attend the ongoing meditation classes at Yoga Centers and various workshops where they will be taught. Purna Yoga's real purpose is to facilitate this process of moving from the 7th to the 8th Dimension: the meditation, the asana, the pranayama, the high vibration nutrition and the lifestyle changes are all designed for this one purpose. Now is the time to truly commit to a new you, a Divine you, a shadowless you. Now, in the spirit of the holiday season, is the time to fully live the words Peace, Love, Joy. Know that you are loved and blessed, Mirra P.S: Please use the picture above to help visualize the infinity symbol flowing through the body.

Ujjayi Breath
The more I practice asana, the more I realize the importance of Ujjayi Pranayama during the practice of asana. In fact, even Mirra has lamented her students not using the power of the Ujjayi breath enough during meditation. My recommendation is to become friends with the sound of the breath. Practice using the Ujjayi breath with the "s" sounding" inhalation and the "h" sounding exhalation. This increases the amount of oxygen that is absorbed into the blood stream as well as creates a more peaceful mind. Do this several times a day. After you have a clear sense of the various sounds you can make with the breath, go to your Purna Yoga teacher and clarify which one of the sounds you are making is accurate.

Color and Clothing
When doing a seated meditation, wear loose clothing that allows you to sit comfortably. In order to get the full benefit of welcoming your soul into your body--which is the purpose of meditation--wear light, happy colors. Avoid wearing dark colors such as black or brown. Dark colors actually absorb light and this contradicts our intention of bringing more light into our body and life. As you continue to work with the meditation snacks, and become more attuned to that higher vibration, you will find that the body becomes very sensitive to the darker colors, and can no longer wear them. This has nothing to do with dark skin or light skin. Skin is alive, while clothes are not. Skin has a soul, and is fed by the light itself. Skin is how the body protects itself from direct sunlight. So one's skin color can be any color--we are only concerned here with dark clothing that actually prevents the light from going into your body. -Mirra |

| Two Essential Ingredients to Health
We consume too little good fat in our society. Many of my respected medical profession colleagues say that the single most important change in the average American diet today is probably the addition of a tablespoon of organic flax seed oil two times a day. Personally, I also suggest adding 2-3 glasses of Fortune Delight (for hydration) and a green drink for increasing alkalinity. Be creative when making your green drink: you can simply consume a well-shaken vial of Evergreen in a glass of water, or make your own by blending a couple of stalks of any deep green leafy vegetables (such as kale, chard, turnip greens, carrot tops, or cilantro) with a chunk of ginger, a pinch of rock salt and a glass of water in a blender. Drink this at least once a day. You will feel energized and your brain will feel clearer. (Fortune Delight and Evergreen are foods made by Sunrider. Email Aadil for more information.) -Aadil |

Linens and Energy
I cannot stress enough the importance of washing new clothing, bed linens and towels before you use them. To present cloth items for sale, many chemicals are used, and these should be washed off completely before you use clothing for the first time on your body. Many of these chemicals give me an instant headache so I know that they are not good for health. Besides, many people have handled the items along the way from the manufacturer to your home. Cloth is very adept at holding dirt and the energies of the people who touch the cloth. (This is why the clothing of saints is revered.) Washing will remove the dirt as well as the energies that cloth holds on to.

A Christmas Cottage - Love is the Brightest Light of All
This movie is based on painter, Thomas Kinkade's life. It is a true heart-opening movie that reminds one to honor with gratitude, the people who help guide our lives towards our Soul's purpose. The acting by Peter O'Toole is astounding. Please watch Thomas Kinkade's talk on how this movie came to be. It is all about the light! -Mirra | |
