The Precision of Love
As you move through your asanas, focus also on the Pillar of Light and on the innermost alignment that exists in the body. Do your asana from that inward place. With the mind precisely centered on the image of light and the heart being centered with the feeling of gratitude and love, the asana begins to move itself with a surprising precision that is perfect for each moment.

| Inhale and Exhale
The inhalation (puraka), the exhalation (rechaka) and the retention (kumbhaka) of the breath - each has its own specific purpose. The inhalation stimulates and energizes the human system, filling the lungs with life-giving air. The exhalation relaxes the system, relieves tension, emptying the lungs of all noxious air. The kumbhakas concretize these experiences, holding them within the body with a totally still and perceptive mind. Thus, the inhalation is the power breath, the bringer of the perdurable Immortal into the fleeting mortal. The exhalation is the emptying of the mind of all illusions, the breath of humility, the surrender of the transient mortal before the everlasting Immortal.

Prayer of Gratitude
End your meditation with a prayer of gratitude to your soul for giving you an opportunity to live, to change, and to grow. Ask your soul to be with you at every moment of every day, and in return, promise to listen and to act upon the guidance you receive. Check, check, and recheck. Your soul is your truest friend and a promise to your soul is a promise to your greatest friend.

Power
Power is what you have so that you can move toward your dharma. Power is the ability to do whatever it takes to live your dharma. That's power, and the rest is ego. Throughout Indian mythology, there are stories that illustrate how the acquisitions of power, whether it be physical or occult, leads to the degeneration of the person holding that power if these powers are not used in the service of dharma. People with true powers rarely talk about them. People who talk about their powers are usually not worth listening to.

Gum Health
An excellent solution for receding gums is to use Sunrider* toothpaste (it contains more nourishing herbs fro the gums than any other toothpaste I have found), and after you finish brushing your teeth, then turn your brush so the bristles face up and press it against your upper gums as high up in the mouth as possible. Firmly push the brush into the gums, then turn the brush, moving the tips of the bristles down the gums to the teeth, thereby effectively pulling the gum down. Then move the brush one brush length away and repeat this over the entire upper gum area. For the lower gums, pull the gums up as you turn the brush up. I do this every time I brush my teeth and I have completely reversed my receding gum line problem.
