Lot's Happening!
Gearing up for a busy Fall & Holiday Season
Whew! Where did the summer go?
It seems like just yesterday, Denise, committees and I were packing up, setting up for our annual Golf Tournament and working to gather the vital member information for the 2012-2013 Membership Directory and Buy Local Resource Guide which will be going out to greater Easthampton in early November. As I write this, our board room and tables are stacked with boxes and totes full of supplies and prizes for Saturday's 3rd Annual Casino Night which will be at One Cottage Street. (By the way, tickets are still available and we welcome walk-ins).
The Chamber is now gearing up for what will be a very busy Fall and Holiday season, jam-packed with events and networking opportunities. Our events mainly center around making Greater Easthampton a warm and inviting destination for the holidays by raising funds for Easthampton's and Southampton's lighting programs. As the Enews side bars note, on October 22nd the Holiday Spirit Committee invites you to a fun-filled evening at Opa-Opa Steak House for our Celebrity Bartender's Night. Watch you mail and email for more info on November 3rd's 12th Annual Holiday Lights Bowl-a-Thon at Canal Bowling Lanes in Southampton where we will pack the lanes with Chamber members and friends! Also on the horizon is our Holiday Stroll and Visit from Santa, a fun night for kids of all ages on Friday evening, November 30 where we light up Pulaski Park with thousands and thousands of twinkling lights.
In addition to those events which offer you the opporunity to meet and network with frineds and potential customers, our Networking by Night Business Card Exchanges are still going strong! Cooley Dickinson Hospital invites you to tour their newest facility at their Southampton Rehab and Outpatient Clinic at the Big Y Plaza Southampton on October 11 and we'll be at Northeast Center for Youth and Families on November 8th.
So we're off and running. Remember to mark you calendars and keep an eye out for emails on all these events!
Who knows? Maybe I'll be writing "where did the fall go?" in December. I sure hope so!
