Member News: Quintessence Easthampton Unites Five Businesses
Five businesses located in downtown Easthampton have joined together to form the unique group Quintessence Easthampton. All five businesses offer related services for the home: Eastmont Custom Framing at 43 Main Street, and Harry King Rug and Home, Nash Gallery, KW Home, and White Square Fine Books & Art on Cottage Street. Quintessence Easthampton describes the group as "five independent shop owners working collaboratively to enrich your life and home with complementary artistic, cultural and home design products and services." Their new website and Facebook page contain links to the five businesses and describe events and promotions to be held throughout the year. The group has also placed large color ads in several prominent print publications. Quintessence Easthampton's first collective event was a progressive soiree on November 26, to celebrate Small Business Saturday. Participants received a printed menu highlighting the fare being served at each location. The event began with appetizers at Eastmont Custom Framing and proceeded to each of the four other shops, concluding with dessert, live music, and a raffled gift basket valued at $500 (won by Mary Cadorette) at White Square Fine Books & Art. "Given the huge success of the "soiree," we are all excited about our next event," said Marlies Stoddard, Owner of Nash Gallery. However, Stoddard refused to provide any more details at this time. "Just expect to be Wowed!"
To help raise awareness for The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts' ongoing need for food donations, KW Home is participating in Gus* Modern's Keep on Giving event. Customers will receive 15% off Gus* Modern Essentials (includes upholstery, dining, storage, lighting, and accessories) when they bring 3 non-perishable food items into the store. The event ends January 31, 2012.
