About eTown Videos:

The Chamber has partnered with eTown Videos, a Belchertown, MA web video production company, to produce member Video Spotlights for our monthly newsletters.

eTown Videos was launched in January of 2006 in Easthampton, Massachusetts by Sven Kielhorn, who turned his passion for videography into a successful video production services company. Over the past five years, eTown Videos has produced a wide variety of web videos for regional organizations, from small business owners and non-profits to national and international corporations. Businesses have used these online videos to increase sales through their online stores, post educational videos to train their clients and staff members on new products and services, and add new donors.

eTown Videos employs a team of five web video production specialists and has formed strategic alliances with web developers, copywriters, independent filmmakers, and Internet marketing companies. As a result, they offer their clients comprehensive production services to deliver engaging web video commercials.

Sven said, "I am thrilled to begin working with the Easthampton Chamber and its members to produce engaging online video spotlights. I think it will become a very exiting way to highlight the many benefits of the Chamber and the expertise its members offer the local business community."

"One of my favorite parts of the job is learning about a client's business and their individual needs and then creating a video that reflects their vision," says Michael Sinopoli, senior filmmaker. This approach assures that each client receives a customized video presentation.

Read about eTown at  www.etownvideos.com and contact them to request a complimentary consultation. You can also see their Facebook page , and read the eTown Videos Blog for valuable information about web video production services. Contact Sven directly at 413-324-1130.

Member News: Bashista Orchards

Bashista logo

Bashista Orchards and Cider Mill in Southampton, after an active season of picking fruit that continues right to the end of October, is gearing up for the busy holiday season. Their country store is taking orders for a wide range of holiday pies. In addition to the apple pies that can be found daily in their store, customers can order apple/cranberry, apple/raspberry, blueberry, Dutch apple, coconut custard, mince, pecan, pumpkin, strawberry/rhubarb, custard, and "fruit of the forest" pies. Bashista's also offers sugar-free apple, blueberry and fruits of the forest pies.

Those who want pies for Thanksgiving are encouraged to get their orders in early, preferably by the second week in November, as the supply can run out quickly. "It gets crazy here around Thanksgiving, and we don't want to disappoint our customers," said Tom Bashista. In addition to their own pies, fresh fruit, and cider, Bashista's country store offers vegetables, breads, local maple syrup and honey, crafts, and their "awesome Cider Donuts."

Owned and operated by fourth generation Tom and Cheryl Bashista, Bashista Orchards has been growing fruit since 1926, with over 40 varieties of apples, pears and plums. Their store at 160 East St. in Southampton is open year 'round, 7 days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Contact them at 413-527-9091, visit their website at www.gotcider.net , or go to their  Facebook page.

ECA+ Accomplishments  in 2011

ECA+ logo

Easthampton City Arts+ has experienced a banner year promoting local artists in collaboration with its many members and the Easthampton Cultural Council.

Some recent events include Art in the Orchard, an endeavor by Jean-Pierre Pasche and Park Hill Orchard and funded in part by the ECC; the Plein Air Paint Out, created and organized by Marlies Stoddard and the Nash Gallery; the Scarecrow Competition, organized by ECA+'s Easthampton Art Walk committee; and ArtHampton, spearheaded by Marcia Morrison and the ECA+ ArtHampton committee, who branded the arts tour and expanded the event, now in its second year. The October Art Walk in the Historic Town Hall galleries brought over 260 visitors for a festive evening.

New ECA+ Coordinator Burns Maxey, who came on board in August, said, "There are so many volunteers and artists who make these events happen successfully. And it shows the many creative collaborations that germinate here in Easthampton. "

There are several upcoming events for ECA+ in the holiday season. The next show in the ECA+ gallery coincides with the Cottage Street Studios anniversary and will showcase Cottage Street Studio Artists--the primary occupants who have filled the empty mill buildings, creating an original creative economy for Easthampton. High and Mighty Beer will be a sponsor of the Art Walk Easthampton for the Historic Town Hall galleries in November.

The Small Works Show in December at the ECA+ gallery will coincide with its Annual Celebrate the Arts Party and Auction on December 8. This will be a salon-type show in which small works for low prices will be offered to buyers in a cash and carry format, just in time for the holiday season.

The preparations for Bear Fest 2012 have begun. The call to artists has gone out and fundraising efforts are well underway. Area businesses and committed sponsors who experienced the success of the 2009 Bear Fest know the tremendous impact the festival will have by bringing in thousands of visitors and transforming Easthampton into a creative walkable city. More information on the Bear Fest can be found at www.easthamptonbearfest.com.

ECA+ will be rolling out a new website in several weeks. In the interim, visit ECA+ at their headquarters at 43 Main Street, contact Burns at 413-527-8278, or visit the current website at easthamptoncityarts.com.
