On Yom Kippur, we are reminded to "Choose Life" (Deut. 30:19). In this year's AAMEN experience, join James A. Weinkle and the musicians of Devananda for a musical and meditative contemplation of Oneness and Choosing Life. Allow the rhythms of the Kirtan call and response prayerChants and the silent spaces between, guide you to At-One-Ment from which new perspectives of Healing and Life flow.
Venture into Gumenick Chapel at 12:30 PM on Saturday, September 18, 2010 - immediately following the morning services on Yom Kippur and spend a wonderful hour at One with God - however you imagine God. Allow Your voice to sound, Your soul to sing, Your body to move. Chant and relax and you and all present will feel the blessings that emerge as Your sounds massage Your body and enlighten the radiance of Your Soul. Emerge with a smile on your face and a song in your heart.
Respond to the call. Chant, meditate and move with us in an uplifting and energizing contemplative hour that is AAMEN. Singing ability is not required. AAMEN.

 Join us for "Sukkot under the Stars" a Creative Intergenerational Sukkot Celebration

We'll begin by decorating the Sukkah throughout the entire Brown patio. Stay for a delicious Italian Buffet dinner to fulfill the mitzvah (commandment) of eating in the Sukkah. Then worship with us in the Sukkah as we welcome Shabbat under the stars, and celebrate Sukkot with a creative service, followed by a special program of either wine tasting or Israeli dancing and games.  Simchat Torah Celebration

We'll complete the Torah scroll with the last verses of Deuteronomy and begin again with Genesis. Become part of a living Torah scroll as we unroll the Torah around the Bertha Abess Sanctuary. Yizkor will be observed as we remember our loved ones.
