Central Chavurah invites you to view the film "The Lemon Tree"
Thursday, April 15 at 7:00 pm in Wolfson Auditorium. This is an Israeli film which focuses on the possible destruction of a lemon tree grove when it is declared to be a threat to a neighboring Israeli official. Everyone is invited to attend the showing and to join in the discussion of the issues raised by this drama.

Cooking with the Stars!
An Evening with Fine Dine and Wining with Celebrity Chefs

Temple Israel of Greater Miami is hosting Cooking with the Stars, an evening of fine wine and dining with celebrity chefs. Chef Michelle Bernstein (Michy's, Sra. Martinez), Chef Allen Susser (Chef Allen's), Chef Dewey LoSasso (The Forge), and Chef Sean Brasel (Meat Market) will be demonstrating their delectable culinary creations as Chef Michael Moran (Aspire Catering and Events, FIU Culinary Coordinator of the South Beach Wine & Food Festival) coordinates the food preparation. Also participating will be Ms. Gabriele Marewski (Paradise Farms), Ms. Jennifer Behar (Jennifer's Homemade) and Chef Michael Meltzer (Michael's Catering). The evening will be emceed by Ms. Linda Gassenheimer, noted author, TV and radio personality and syndicated journalist, and Prof. Barry Gump, world recognized authority on wine and wine sensory evaluation, will discuss the evening's wine pairings. It promises to be an enlightening five-course gourmet extravaganza! Benefiting from this evening of culinary delights will be Temple Israel's community projects, such as the Feed the Homelessprogram and Community Garden to support Lotus House Homeless Shelter,as well as our chefs' favorite charities, Save Our Strength, Common Threadsand Feeding South Florida. As part of the evening's festivities, there will be a silent auction of goods and services.
