Purim Shabbat

Friday evening,

February 26, 7:30 PM

For all generations, a Purim spiel to amuse and engage...

"The Megillah According to the Beatles"

Come dressed as your favorite Purim character, Beatle or...whatever captures your imagination! We'll pray, we'll sing, we'll tell the story of Purim in true Paul, George, John and Ringo style. Join us following the service for a festive Oneg.  (Note: No 7 o'clock service this evening.)

Adult Purim

The Megillah of Esther, Un-ravioli'd

 Saturday evening, February 27, 7:00 PM

Adult Purim falls this year on the actual night of Purim. So, since Purim and Adult Purim coincide, we will have to go

inside the Megillah and see what's really there. No more spoofing. This will be serious. We'll be asking of ourselves and others profound questions, like . . .

*Where exactly in Italy is Shushan?  *Was Mordecai Mafioso? *Sofia Loren? (We know Sofia Loren is not a question, but it gets your attention.)

So, please, wear Italian and bring your Italian accent, your Italian bourbon, scotch, rum, vodka or distillate of choice, and your loudest noise makers, and, especially, your Italian gestures and join us for an Italian meal catered by Chef Michael Meltzer, suitable for . . . Purim.

RSVP to plittman@templeisrael.net. Temple members $20;

non-members $25. BYOB and a designated driver.
