ZIMBABWE , formerly the British colony of Southern Rhodesia and, briefly, the Republic of Rhodesia. Organized Jewish life in Zimbabwe goes back to 1894 when about 20 Jews were among the purchasers of land in Bulawayo. The majority of the Jewish settlers were of Russian and Lithuanian origin, although later on an appreciable number of Sephardim came from the Aegean island of Rhodes.
The Menu:
Tomato & onion salad with malt vinegar dressing
Steamed Red Snapper with onions and tomatoes
African Rice
Lamb stew with sweet potato
Fried cauliflower and grilled onions
African telephone apricot pudding
