Volunteer Opportunity For Lotus House
Lotus House needs volunteers to help organize, install, operate and wrap-up a mobile dental clinic that will serve up to 150 women and children of Lotus House (both current guests and alumni) over a two and a half day period, from set-up on Thursday, December 10th to operations on Friday and Saturday, December 11 and 12, and cleanup immediately following on December 12. The Margulies Art Warehouse in Wynwood will be our clinic site - giving new meaning to the "art of dentistry"! We need many hands for the operation of the clinic; food for lunch and snacks and beverages for our Lotus House attendees and volunteer dentists; and assistants for everything from set-up and registration to operations and clean-up. This is an amazing opportunity to help so many women at the shelter and who have been through our doors in the past few years that still need dental care. If you can volunteer please contact Ivy Adjei, Lotus House counselor, at counselor@lotushouseshelter.org. |
