BWPC members from the United States are celebrating their Independence Day today.

I wanted to take this opportunity to share a series of images from the BWPC archives that were photographed by Paul Friedel a few years ago.

Paul was new to photography when he read an article on how to shoot fireworks. He jumped on his bicycle, camera gear and tripod strapped to his back and found his shooting location early that 4th of July evening.

The photo appearing here is appropriately called "All These Planets," one example of some truly amazing holiday photography Paul shot that night.

I had the pleasure of seeing all of the photos that Paul shot that night, both color and black & white. The following images that I share with you now were hand picked by the administrators of the bwpc. Selections Committee members are encouraged to vote on these images so that they have a chance to appear in the top rated list.
