Rockhaven 2012
Greetings!
Welcome to our March newsletter! Summer camp is just around the corner and there's been a lot going on lately with preparing for summer camp, marketing, staff recruitment and hosting various rental groups at Rockhaven. There's a lot going on with the Rockhaven ministry and we hope it will get you as excited about this summer season as we are. There have been many additions to this e-mail distribution list recently so if you are getting this for the first time please know that you can unsubscribe by simply following the link at the bottom of the page. I truly hope that you will stay though and continue as part of the growing Rockhaven community. Know that you will only be receiving information relevant to Rockhaven Camp and Retreat Center. If you are new, you can check out the archive page on our website to view the past few issues.
If you are on our mailing list you will be receiving our summer 2012 brochure in the mail any day now and I hope you will look it over and then register for a camp on our website or with the enclosed application. The easiest way to register is with our online registration portal which has made the registration process so much easier as well as reducing our mailing and printing cost. Registering online is a great way to help us become a more environmentally friendly organization. Also, it's important to know that our online registration is merely a reservation or pre-registration process and you won't need to pay at time of registration. Once your registration is received, you will receive a confirmation letter, remaining release forms, health form and a invoice to be submitted with payment by mail or in person.
You don't need to wait for the brochure to arrive by mail though as you can view or download in right from this newsletter or on our website. Please follow the links below to register for Rockhavencamp today!

MIDDLE SCHOOL OPPORTUNITY! This year we are offering a L.I.T. program or "Leaders In Training" for campers grade 6 - 12. This is something we've needed as more campers are wanting to return to Rockhaven in some capacity but are getting too old for day camp or elementary overnight and Jr. High Adventure is just too short! So, we're adding this opportunity to keep you involved with Rockhaven. This was a bit of an after-thought so you won't find it in the brochure, but if you register online LIT 1, 2, and 3 are available for registration. These weeks coincide with our day camps which allow for campers to learn and assist our summer staff with day campers. There will also be some program time with Scott Thrasher as well as the opportunity to stay over on Thursday night for a little summer camp fun of their own on the high ropes course. Your can register for 1 or all of these weeks. Registration will be limited to 8 campers per week and cost $50 to cover food costs.
NOTE: This is NOT a camp program! This is for youth who would like to serve as volunteer helpers, camp leaders and junior counselors. This idea is in its early stages and will grow as needed.
If you have questions please contact Scott otherwise you can register |

Message from the Director
I am so excited about this coming season and all the opportunities for Rockhaven to reach this community and continue its growth. The high ropes course which was completed last summer has already been used by groups from as far as Wisconsin. It is our hope that groups and organizations from around the Gallatin Valley will begin to see Rockhaven as home and share in this exciting ministry by holding retreats, using the high ropes course or participating in our summer programs.
We will again host two weeks of summer camp for the Montana National Guard and the zip line partnership has been a great success. These are all signs that God is certainly busy at this little camp on the Gallatin River.
Also, this year I was made the first full time Rockhaven director after having been involved in increasing capacity since 2007. I continue to be inspired by this ministry and will follow the Holy Spirit as it leads to many more opportunities to share God's message in this special outdoor ministry.
