It's stunning to think that our children will receive their Parker Diplomas in less than a month! The Class of 2012 has been one of the most accomplished ever at Parker, and we know that you must share the wonderful feelings of pride that we have for our sons and daughters.
From their first days at Parker in JK, 9th grade, or somewhere in between, our children have been committed to serving the needs of the larger community. Whether collecting canned goods for food banks in San Diego or walking for water in Africa, they've been unstoppable in working to better the lives of others.
So it won't surprise you that the students in the class have chosen to start a scholarship as their senior class gift. They want to leave a legacy that will forever make Parker available to a deserving student who otherwise couldn't afford a Parker education.
We want to back up our kids' efforts in helping create a permanent endowment to be known as the Class of 2012 Scholarship Fund. To encourage our support, several parents have committed a challenge gift to match, dollar-for-dollar, up to $75,000 any gift we make to Parker for this purpose.
Please consider your family's relationship with Parker and join us in making a generous gift to the Class of 2012 Scholarship Fund. You can send a check to the School or make a gift online. Whether you can give $100 or $10,000, your gift will help our children create a lasting legacy at Parker.
