Meet our Keynote:
Craig Irving '80, Current Parent, President of The Irving Group
 
Craig IrvingDedicated to San Diego commercial real estate for more than 27 years, Craig Irving founded The Irving Group in 1989.  As president of the firm, he built its reputation as one of the most respected tenant representation firms in the region, and was one of the nation's pioneers in dedicating his career to only representing tenants in lease negotiations.

Irving currently serves on the boards of NAIOP, Downtown Partnership, Economic Development Corporation, the San Diego Foundation, Francis Parker School Development Committee, and Point Loma Nazarene University President's Community Council. A native San Diegan, Irving is committed to a high level of community involvement. He founded and is chairman of the Naval Special Warfare Family Foundation, providing financial support and vital programs to the families of Navy SEALs. He has also chaired the San Diego Police Foundation and the San Diego League, and is an active member of other local non-profit boards and an active fundraiser for numerous local organizations.

He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Southern California's prestigious Entrepreneur Program, and lives in Point Loma with his wife and their five children.  


Who Else Might You Meet?

Kirsten Solberg '97, Attorney at McKenna, Long & Aldridge, LLP 

Kirsten is a member of the Real Estate Transactions Practice Group at McKennaKirsten Solberg Long & Aldridge. She represents real estate owners, investors and developers in a broad range of real estate transactions, including purchases and sales, options, leasing and financing. Recently, Kirsten was a lead attorney for St. Vincent de Paul, assisting with the real estate and financing for its new affordable housing complex at 15th & Commercial in downtown San Diego. The $60 million project, which includes affordable and temporary housing units and a child development center, opened its doors to residents earlier this year.

  

In addition, Kirsten is a board member of the Regional Task Force on the Homeless, Vice Chair of the San Diego Foundation's Community Scholarship Program Committee, and a member of the LEAD San Diego Impact Class of 2012. In her spare time, Kirsten volunteers with the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program's HIV/AIDS Legal Services Project, providing her legal expertise pro bono. Kirsten holds a B.A. degree from Princeton University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.

  

Tom Halle, Current Parent, Senior Director of Global Alliances for Savvis
Tom HalleTom is a 30-year IT industry veteran currently serving as Sr. Director of Global Alliances for Savvis, the Cloud Computing division of CenturyLink, the country's 3rd largest telco (after AT&T and Verizon). In that capacity he drives a 9-figure business in partnership with companies like HP, Cisco, Microsoft, and other goliaths in the IT industry.  

 

Tom is also very active in the San Diego innovation economy, serving on the operating committee of the MIT Enterprise Forum, chairing the San Diego chapter of the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals, as a member of the Southern California Venture Capital Roundtable, a guest lecturer at the UCSD Rady School of Business, an Advisory Board member for several area start-ups, and a frequent speaker and panelist on the topics of strategic business alliances, collaborative innovation, and the architecture of trust in commercial relationships. Tom is also co-chair of the Parker DADS Club! On the political front, he is currently working with another Parker parent, Sharon Henry, to form a San Diego innovation economy advisory committee in support of San Diego County District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis' run for San Diego Mayor.    

  

Annika Bohl, Current and Alumni Parent, retired Marketing Manager at Hewlett-Packard  

Annika received her B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E. degrees from Stanford University, Annika Bohl and is a member of the Tau Beta Pi and Phi Beta Kappa honor societies. She worked for Hewlett-Packard Company for almost 20 years, designing state-of-the-art integrated circuits for superminicomputers and high-speed color printers before moving into management. Annika led organizations ranging from marketing communications and channel development to business planning and strategic alliances, and was selected for the prestigious Accelerated Development Program, HP's executive MBA-type program at the University of Michigan. Her most recent position was Worldwide Current Product Marketing Manager for HP's highly profitable $10+ billion LaserJet and InkJet print cartridge business, with teams in three states and marketing centers around the globe.
