Red Bank, NJ: Concert attendance has been the hot topic of the summer with mainstream media reporting on cancelled shows; some due to artist illness, but most due to lack of ticket sales. The Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank is pleased to report that it is not experiencing this trend. On the contrary, concert attendance at the Basie is still strong, and the theatre's recent ticket sales put them at 10% above industry standard. Count Basie Theatre CEO, Numa Saisselin said, "in the midst of an otherwise lackluster summer concert business, the Basie's attendance is at 70% capacity on average." He reports that the theatre is once again listed on Pollstar Magazine's list of top 50 venues for World-Wide Ticket Sales.

Although the summer events are selling well, the Count Basie Theatre will most likely be left with a limited number of concert tickets for some shows that will go unsold. The theatre is going to make those seats available for rush ticket purchase. Half price tickets in certain locations will be sold through the box office either in person or by phone and will be available based on inventory on the day of a show. The rush ticket program will run from July 20 through August 31. There are a limited number of tickets and seating will be at the discretion of the theatre. The theatre strongly advises customers to call the box office at 732-842-9000 on a show day to check availability of rush tickets for that show.  If a show is not sold out, both regular price and rush discount tickets will be available for purchase.

Rush discounts are not valid on previous purchases and all sales will be final. A $2 per ticket restoration fee will apply; additional service fees may also apply.
