The 35 performers for the production are from Shenzhen, China's Yate Acrobatic Troupe and Houston's own WyldStyle Dance Troupe. After the Houston performances, the production will tour Shenzhen, China in December.
Dr. Gehman, descirbes this musical spectable as a Cirque du Soleil style production written in Mandarin and English, blending Broadway, Acrobatics, Martial Arts and Urban Hip-Hop. Performances will be at Houston Baptist University's new 1200 seat Opera House - the Morris Cultural Arts Center.
Dr. Scott Gehman, as you know, is a corporate member of Women In Film & Television Houston.
Dr. Gehman is Chair of Houston Community College's Audio Recording and Filmmaking Department. The department hosts the only film program for Texas Colleges with training in sound recording, music production, electronic music, film editing, production and scriptwriting... Scott Gehman has composed music and orchestrations for theatrical musicals over the past twenty years. His music adaptation of Dukas' Sorcerer's Apprentice toured Houston and Beijing; His music and orchestrations to "The Legend of Yin & Yang," matched to Burton Harold Wolfe's book and lyrics, created the first Sino-Caucasian musical ever produced in South China and was documented in PBS Television's "Making the Legend." Dr. Gehman studied music at HSPVA, North Texas State and holds a B.M, M.M, and D.M.A from the Shepherd School of Music of Rice University. Prior to his faculty position at HCC, Scott served as Music Director for Strake Jesuit College Preparatory; was Director of Houston's Summer Jazz Workshop; and taught electronic music at Rice University.

Diana was drawn to the business side of our industry when she interned at several talent agencies, and for the last three years, Diana served as Director of Operations at the renowned Houston Academy of Dramatic Arts.

The video or short film works of 10 artists is featured in the H BOX screening device, designed by Didier Fiuza Faustino, a Portuguese/French architect based in Paris. He designed H Box to literally next the moving images in their own setting. The state-of-the-art playback equipment was designed to offer the highest quality of image and sound, providing artists an original venue for their work while guaranteeing an uncompromised presentation to the audience. H Box features a rotating, diverse program of videos by ten internationally renowned artists. All these works were produced over the course of the past three eyars as part of the ongoing H Box commissioning program, a project of the Foundation d'entreprise Hermes started in 2006.
