PEOPLE GET READY!

As you know, we have some exciting changes on the way and we're now getting very close to being able to share them with you.

Our graduate intern Tobe has been researching your interests and needs and the results have made fascinating reading. We'd really like to thank everyone who responded so have lined up a special treat for you below which we hope you'll enjoy.

What you said...

The message we got loud and clear from everyone is that you want to hear Robert say exactly what he thinks. You wanted him to step out and be even bolder in everything he does. Unsurprisingly he's quite looking forward to it!

Here in the office we could easily get a bit twitchy about this but we're looking forward to it too because we know just how entertaining he can be when he lets go.

On a serious note the survey also showed us that there are a few things we're not currently offering which you might find really useful, such as more business tips, help with business templates, a live online forum for visitors to share ideas, and an avenue to ask Robert questions from time to time.

We're now busy working to incorporate all of that into our new website and will let you know as soon as it goes live.

Robert will be back with our new look ezine next month and there will be a new twist to tell you about, so watch this space!

For One Week Only

SUMMMER BOOK SALE

BAREFOOT BEACH

We're having a sale of Robert's books as a special treat to help you line up your reading material for the summer.

You can order your signed copies from us here at our online shop where we've set up a £25% discount for you on most of his titles, but you'll need to be quick as it's only for a week.

The most recent book How To Start A Business has had phenomenal sales and reviews so if you haven't read it yet now's a great time to get your copy.

Robert has now finished writing the 3rd edition of Entrepreneur's Book of Checklists which has plenty of new tips and examples in it and you'll be able to pre-order your copy online at Amazon soon.

At the moment he's well immersed in writing his next book How To Be A Social Entepreneur which is due out later in the year. For us this means being able to listen in as the volume on his classical music has gone up a couple of notches, and helping him out with the almost continual pots of fresh coffee which are an essential part of the process. Hard work but somebody has to do it.

We've also been able to take a sneaky peek at the first few chapters - it's quite different from his other books and we think it's set to be his best yet, very exciting.

Robert's always been fairly outspoken on his blog, but if you're wondering what he's talking about at the moment Find out now!

Robert is The People's

new mental health blogger

bridge

Robert has been revealed
as the new mental health blogger for The People. Through his blog he'll be aiming to improve the understanding of mental health issues nationally and he's already being quite candid about his own experiences.

As many of you will know, Robert is already known in Norfolk for his role in leading mental health projects. In 2006 he led a bid to run the 3 year mental health anti-stigma campaign in Norwich and subsequently introduced the Living Library concept to Norfolk.

He also campaigned for the establishment of a Community Foundation in Norfolk. The Norfolk Community Foundation, of which he is still a trustee, now has £3m in endowed funds and last year awarded over £600k in grants across the county. It recently celebrated its fifth birthday and is going from strength to strength.

Robert is well established as a business author and columnist and his work has been translated into 15 languages selling in several countries across the world. In 2008 he stepped out of his usual genre, writing I Know Someone Like That to raise funds for the Stuff Stigma campaign and to combat prejudice generally.

Stephen Fry wrote the forward, hailing it as; "A magnificent counterblast to the stigma and prejudice, ignorance and fear that afflicts the realm of mental health in this country."

He said; "I Know Someone Like That is a clear, readable and immensely touching account of how real people cope in the real world. I recommend this to everyone, for as the title suggests, we all know someone..."

Robert believes that taking control of your life is the key to personal success whether from a business or personal perspective and he sees his mission as writer is to help others do exactly that.
