Autumn's here and the fields are being ploughed to prepare the land for the next crop. It's a great time of year, with debris from the old crop buried and a clean fresh tilth created to nurture the seeds that will yield next year's harvest.
And the business landscape is very similar right now. Many of the casualties of recession have now been buried and a growing number of new ventures are being planned.
In both the enterprise and agricultural worlds, giving the new crop the best possible chance of survival is vitally important. Of course the right kind of husbandry or support is important, but even more vital is to make sure that what you're planning is going to give you the best possible chance of success. |

Turn Your Passion Into Profit

We're working with to organise a series of thought provoking, free to attend events for people contemplating starting a business. You'll hear from people who have done it, gain valuable tips from business experts and meet advisers from your local Enterprise Agency who can help you take the next steps. The first three all take place in the evening, 1800 for 1830 and have an exciting line up of presenters, plus lots of opportunity for your questions to be answered. You can book your free place(s) for one of the first three right now:
You'll also have an opportunity to meet and quiz me, as I'll be facilitating each of these. Any questions email Bella - otherwise I look forward to meeting many of you as you prepare to turn your 'Passion into Profit.' |

Words of wisdom
"It always seems impossible until it's done."
Nelson Mandela
In business as in life, the most rewarding things you can do are those that others consider impossible. Mandela did not succeed by following the herd and neither will you or I!

A Spoonful of Sugar

Sometimes the truth hurts. Like medicine it's best taken with a spoonful of sugar, especially if you remember Mary Poppins! A few months ago I was invited to hear Brad Sugars, founder of ActionCOACH, one of the world's top 50 franchises, speak in Coventry. I was expecting something very brash and was pleasantly surprised. He was inspiring, talked real sense and motivated his audience in a way I'd rarely seen before. I came home with a very focused list of things to do. Now you can hear Brad Sugars speak too. He's visiting the UK next month and will be speaking at the following locations. All events start at 10am, end at lunchtime and cost just £49+vat.
Worcester - October 7th Leeds - October 9th Cambridge - October 12th Gatwick - October 13th Putney - October 14th
AND because I'm convinced you'll enjoy the event, but might need encouraging to book, I'll send you a signed copy of my book 'Instant Entrepreneur' if you add the promotional code OT34 when you book your place!
