There's no doubt that we're reaching the end of the recession tunnel.

The UK Stock Market's risen 40% since March and even the cynics are coming to the conclusion that 2010 will be better than 2009. So what are you waiting for?
 
For the positive, focused and determined entrepreneur, the downturn has presented few problems, unless of course they've been trapped in a business sector that took a big hit when things slowed down.
 
So what's your plan for this autumn? Have you got one? In less than two weeks the kids will be back at school. As the weather gets cooler, the business scene will hot up. In 20 years of running my own business, I've never seen a better time to go for it than right now.

You might not agree with me that these are wise words. The fact is that when you're starting or growing a business your eyes must always be open to new opportunities.
 
Yes you have to focus on what you do best, but don't be blinkered as you pursue your goal. Some of the most successful entrepreneurs are those that realised along the way that a shift of emphasis would deliver more success sooner!

I've long been a fan of well targeted direct mail, especially if you're selling 'business to consumer'. Now you can create your own marketing postcards, personalise them and have them printed and posted without leaving your desk.
 
Royal Mail have developed a super online direct mail service that has no minimum order and gives you loads of flexibility. I'm certainly going to use it myself. Why don't you give it a try? Let me know how you get on!
