CW Labor Day Weekend Festival
Take a break and stop by the Canal Winchester Labor Day Festival next weekend. This long standing community tradition has something for everyone. Queens pageants, contest for kids, entertainment, kids rides, great food, Cruise In, parade and business vendors.
Festival begins Saturday at 10:30 am with pageants and bands, ending with evening entertainment from 8 pm - 11 pm - the British Invasion. Sunday features the Car Show from noon - 4 pm with McGuffey Lane that evening. Monday, parade at 1 pm, and 4 to 6 pm - Gas Pump Jockeys. |

Car Show Volunteers Needed
The Groveport Car Show is just around the corner.
and we are looking for volunteers to work a 2 hour shift on Sunday, September 19th. Anytime between 9 am and 4 pm. Interested, contact Susan at the office or call 836-1138.
Vehicle registration will be accepted from 10 am - 1 pm for $15/car, the day of the event. Dash plaques, goodie bags and t-shirts will be presented to the first 100 entries. Any car clubs that bring in 5 or more cars, will save $5.00 on each registration. The Chamber is proud to partner with the Village on this exciting community event, including the 50/50 raffle held that day benefits the Greater Groveport Human Needs." New this year local businesses will have business tables and some items for sale, including Cookie Lee Jewelry; AVON; Bepler State Farm Insurance; Wagner Insurance and more. Sponsors of the show awards are Mayor's Choice, sponsored by Mayor Lance Westcamp; People's Choice, Best of Show and Chamber's Choice all sponsored by 1st Service Federal Credit Union. Tools for Schools - Time is Running Out.
Canal Winchester Human Services is currently asking for support of our annual "Tools for Schools" Program. Schools supplies are being collected through Labor Day and can be dropped off at the following:
CANAL BANKING CENTER, CURVES, CW COMMUNITY CENTER,
DAVID'S UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, DAVID EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, AND HOPE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH.
Financial contributions are also welcome. Canal Banking Center will match monetary donations dropped off at the Bank.
Groveport Madison Local Schools is also collecting supplies for their schools. Items may be dropped off at the Groveport Town Hall or the Groveport Madison Administration Building.

Chamber Luncheon - Sept. 15th
Mark your calendars for Wednesday, September 15th for our fall Chamber Luncheon. We will learn about a new program from the Ohio Attorney Generals office aimed at helping small business achieve a fair and equitable resolution of business related complaints. This program is aimed at small business and nonprofis, giving you the resources to protect your business.
Business of the Month and catering our meal will be Chamber Member FRESHBOX CATERINNG.
Business of the Month is availabel for November and future lunches. Cost is $50.00 and includes 1 meal. Table display and 3 minutes at the podium.
