Have you say

Looking for an intern program - the regular way

Hi, I
am currently a strength and conditioning coach working for a professional  club. As part of my professional development I am looking for internship opportunities around the world and am enquiring whether Ian King runs internship opportunities, a week long ideally.
Thanks for your time.--O

O - thanks for your email. We have an extensive intern and coach mentoring program, but perhaps not in the conventional format you are looking for. Our program is aimed a people who wish to commit to mastering our methods, not check them out for a week. You can learn more at our web site or by communicating with our Director of Coaching, whose email address appears in the cc field.--Ian King

Can you recommend a book of yours that will help me design a new training program?

Hello, I am a competitive natural bodybuilder and I have had some really good coaches in the past. I have hit a plateau and I am very interested in your concepts of training. I have read books on nutrition timing, kinematics, and etc. I am looking for a book that gives info on how much volume on each individual body part, how often to train natural, cadence, rest, exercise selection, and etc. Can you recommend a book of yours that will help me design a new training program? I have been training for about 12 yrs. Thanks so much! Take Care.--K

K - thanks for your email. I can share my thoughts on best book, and you can also register on our forum

and ask the opinion of others on this topic.

I believe you may be best served in studying the following books:

  1. Get Buffed! 1 (and later sequels)
  2. How to Write Strength Training Program
  3. Book of Muscle

Invite your feedback. Note we offer a solid guarantee on our educational materials.--Ian King

I have tried many times (to get onto the KSI forum)

I have tried many times to confirm my client status. MY wife purchased all 3 Get Buffed books Christmas of 2006. I re-registered as required an I still cannot gain access to the forum. This has been quite frustrating. Please advise. Thank You.--L

Leon
- thanks for your incredible patience. We appreciate that. We have spend days on a system that would thwart spammers and pornographers, who are committed to dumping inappropriate content on our forum.

I can only assume you too share my distain for seeing reference to things such as pink pussy and other similar references on our forum.

I guess it's a bit like flying these days. Since 18 men crashed 2 planes into 2 buildings, the world's entire flying population spends a few hours per flight getting through the security

My policies in this new move against pornography means that those who don't put adequate info in the signature section get an email like the one below. We go out of our way to manually send this. Then if we don't hear back within 48 hrs, we delete the registration.

So if you are committed enough, if you think the effort is worth it, please follow the instructions below as they appear on our web site.  I have also emailed all my forum administrators so when they see you register using the guidelines below, they will register you into the forum ASAP.

Again, thanks for your patience and being so positive about this.--Ian King

A new cover design

Over the last year or so we have invested significant research and development into re-designing our KSI corporate image. This R&D has extended into the KSI professional development product range.

As a result, our entire professional development range has been remodeled. Some of our products have been released with the new look, but most of the releases are in front of us. And this is just one of them! The new products look sensational, and will look even better as a set on your library shelf!

Although this program is in the KSI professional development cover, the content is suited to all persons, end users included, who have a strong interest in learning my approach to training the power lifts.

The Power Lifts include the squat, bench press and deadlift.  Whilst these are the three lifts used in the sport of Power Lifting, they are also very popular and effective in sport, bodybuilding and general strength training.

There are also many variations of each of these three lifts, which are used both as support exercises to the big three lifts, as well as lifts in their own right.  The squat is known as 'the king' of strength training exercises, and for good reason - it is a fantastic lift! The bench press is arguably the highest profile lift in the gym! The deadlift does not have the same high profile as it's close relative, the squat, but we believe that the deadlift has so much value to offer!

This program discusses topics relevant to each lift including:

·         How to perform each lift the 'Ian King way'.

·         The variations of each lift and how, why and when to use each variation.

·         How to identify common faults and drills to to correct these faults.

·         Optimal teaching methods for learning and advancing in each lift.

·         Assistance lifts aimed to develop technical and physical aspects to ensure continued progress in each lift.

·         Management issues such as warm-up, stretching, warm-up sets, arousal and recovery.

·         Equipment options such as chalk, belts, suits, shoes and bar selection.

·         Safety issues to reduce injury risk.

'Ian King's Guide to the Power Lifts' is packed with information! This is the longest footage Ian has ever recorded dedicated specifically to these three lifts!

Get organized for 2007 and 2008!

We have made some significant changes to the structure of the KSI Coach Mentoring Program (CIP), and wanted to make sure you were made aware of them.

If you have plans to complete the Coach Intern Program (CIP) during 2007, you will want to study these changes. And if you are planning on entering the KSI Coach Mentoring Program (CMP) during 2008, becoming aware of these changes becomes even more crucial.

To summarize:

* The CIP 101 is now the pre-requisite to the CIP 102.
* the CIP 101 is now the home-study program.
* The CIP 102 is now the pre-requisite to the CIP 103.
* The CIP 102 is now the tele-conference program.
* There is only ONE more opportunity to complete the CIP 102 and 103 this year.
* Completion of the 101, 102 and 103 are needed for consideration into the Coach Mentoring Program 2008 intake.

There is only one more opportunity to complete the KSI CIP 102 during 2007, and before you register for that you need to complete the KSI CIP 101. And both are needed to join in the last KSI CIP 103 for the year.

So although the year has barely begun, you need to be organized to be a part of the 2007 CIP and 2008 CMP!

If you  missed this opportunity in 2006, make sure are planning to join them in 2007! Open only to KSI CIP members! Register NOW!
