KEN FUGELSANG RETIREMENT DINNER MARCH 24

 On March 24, the Department of Viticulture and Enology will host a Retirement Celebration Dinner for Ken Fugelsang at the Fort Washington Country Club in Fresno.
Invitations will be available shortly, with an RSVP date of March 7. Please make sure we have your correct email so you don't miss out on the details! Many former students and industry colleagues are expected to attend to help recognize Ken for his many years of service to Fresno State's enology program. Help us spread the word! CAREER FAIR FEBRUARY 23

 Would you like to meet our viticulture and enology students?! Employers are invited to attend our Viticulture and Enology Career Fair on Thursday, February 23 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, surrounded by the vineyards and winery on Fresno State's campus.

Through classroom and hands-on experiences, Fresno State has a solid reputation for preparing students for the real-world. Viticulture Faculty Position The Department of Viticulture and Enology is pleased to announce that three candidates for the Viticulture Winegrape Production faculty position have been invited to visit the Fresno State campus this month. The first candidate will be in Fresno on February 9 and will be giving an open presentation on "Vineyard Management" at 1:20 pm in the Viticulture & Enology Building upstairs conference room at 2360 E. Barstow, between Cedar & Maple Avenues. Industry members are welcome to attend all candidate presentations. The second candidate will visit on February 16; the third, on February 27. Details will be posted on our web site soon!
Vincent E. Petrucci Librarian Position We are pleased to announce that after an extensive interview process last week, Britt Foster was selected to fill the librarian position in the Vincent E. Petrucci Library in the Department of Viticulture and Enology. This part-time sta ff position receives funding from the Viticulture and Enology Alumni Endowment Fund. Britt will be responsible for maintaining and developing this special collection of viticulture and enology resources for students, staff, faculty, and the grape and wine industry.
Several alumni and industry representatives served on the Search Committee, along with faculty, staff, and student representatives from the Department and the Madden Library. Britt received her B.A. degree from San Francisco State University in Literature and Creative Writing, and her Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. Watch for upcoming announcements regarding the Library's progress!

A CELEBRATION OF WINE - Attn: Wineries

 The 30th annual "A Celebration of Wine" event will be held on June 3 from 3-6 pm at Rancho vista Del Rio in Madera, California. Proceeds support the Vincent E. Petrucci Library in the Department of Viticulture and Enology at Fresno State.
