Bezazian Branch Library
LibraryThe Bezazian Branch Library at 1226 West Ainslie Street is once again seeking community businesses to help support their annual Summer Reading Program for children from pre-school through eighth grade. This year's theme is "Read Green, Live Green" and is a partnership with the Garfield Park Conservatory and the City's Department of the Environment. Research has shown that children who read just six books during summer vacation improve their reading skills and are better prepared when school begins in the Fall. Children who are competent readers are more likely to succeed in school and life. Over 900 children participate in the program with their parents, with camp groups or through our myriad community agency partners. The Chicago Public Library will also be hosting their second Adult Summer Reading Program.

To get involved please contact Mark Kaplan, Branch Manager or Karen Harvey-Turner, Children's Librarian, at 312-744-0019, or by email at mkaplan@chipublib.org and khturner@chipublib.org.
