Greetings!
It's so darn hot! Which reminds me of a song by local musician Ashton Morris. Unfortunately, that song is NOT on his myspace, but the other songs are equally fun, so give him a listen!
While you're procrastinating, vote for your favorite Indie establishments. Thanks in advance for the love you show us in the best vegetarian slot, but don't forget to cast your vote for our neighbors at Shine On Yoga, Little Green Spa and Evolve (best health store). Vote NOW:

After that, come down to Dandelion for some iced tea and idle chatter about the growing OurLando movement - I have tons to share with you about my recent community-sponsored trip to the BALLE Grow Deep conference. Read on for more about that!
Got plans for July 4th? We'll be drumming under the new moon while fireworks from Lake Eola cascade overhead. Should be some kind of party! We're opening late at 4pm that day. Come celebrate with your favorite indy establishment on Independence Day!
Til then, keep it cool!

OurLando community discussion at Green Drinks!
Last time around I told you about the BALLE "Grow Deep" Conference & thanks to community donations three of us made it up to Boston to learn & share with other community leaders about what it takes to start &
maintain a vibrant "Local First" campaign in OurLando in support of
independent business, arts, culture & active citizens.
The conference was amazing and we want to share the experience with you. Join us at Green Drinks this Thursday, June 19th at 7pm to hear myself and Emily Rankin (founder of the Audabon Park Community Market) discuss what we learned and the first steps needed to form a progressive local alliance for community enrichment and nuture the "OurLando, Locally Made" movement.
For a preview of the discussion, tune in to Front Porch Radio on WPRK 91.5 fm at noon this Wednesday. If you miss either of those, there will be further discussion at the Audubon Park Community Market on Saturday (scroll down for more info on that event).
Our trip to Boston was possible thanks to the generosity of Aeon Blu who sponsored the flights & community minded citizens Ross Payne, Janet Courtney & Janice Voss. Won't you join them in jump-starting this movement? Please visit OurLando.com and donate today to help seed this movement with capital!
