Greetings!
I love this town. With the heat of summer coming on strong, we've got so many options to distract us this week. In fact, there is so much cool stuff going on, I've listed a whole slew of em down at the bottom of this email, because I don't want you, fine friend, to miss out on the opportunity to actively participate as a citizen in our rich music, theatre, art & eco communities.
I'll be attending the Green Earth Expo this weekend & you should too! I'm excited to participate on three panels: State of the Organic Industry Thursday @ 2:30, Becoming a Smart Green Consumer Friday @ 1pm, & Bridging the Gap between Health & Wellness & the Green Movement Sunday @ 1pm. Check out the impressive line-up of exhibitors! Tell your friends & carpool on over!
After you marvel at the Earth Day Photos below, please consider making a dontation to the OurLando fund to send a delegation to Boston for a conference on starting a "Local First" campaign right here in OurLando. For giggles, be sure to check out my funny face on the cover of a magazine at the waaaay bottom of this email. Have a great week!

A "Local First" Campaign in OurLando?
At Dandelion, we are passionate about community & are dedicated to helping this city & it's citizens live, work & play in a progressive town. We would like to send a delegation from OurLando to represent our blossoming community at the BALLE "Grow Deep" Conference & are looking to the community to help raise money for airfare & lodging. Please consider making a donation to our travel fund so we can learn what it takes to start & maintain a vibrant "Local First" campaign in OurLando in support of independent business, arts, culture & active citizens.
We need to raise $5,000 for airfare, conference fees, meals, hotel and materials needed to jump-start a program in OurLando. Won't you pitch in? Consider donating $25, $50 or $100. Click on the Donate Button Now!
Sponsorship opportunities are available to businesses willing to donate $1,000 or more.

Eco-Enterprise....We made the cover!
Oh, my. You know something is afoot when the Orlando Chamber puts an eco-preneur on the cover of it's monthly publication. Julie was proud to stand tall in front of Dandelion and spread the eco-word on running an authentic green business. Check the article out here on page 18.
Also in the news recently was Tia Meer of the Simple Living Institute. Check out that article here on page 13.
