Walk, bike, scooter or carpool your way over to the cafe on Saturday for our 2nd Annual Herb Day and Community Garden celebration, then go catch the Florida Renewable Energy Expo finishing the night with a special screening of the 11th Hour at Lake Eola. Florida Renewable Energy Expo & 11th Hour Film
Saturday, October 13th, 9am to Sundown, Lake Eola Floridians are currently grappling with a number of social, economic and environmental challenges. Issue such as skyrocketing gas prices, more frequent and severe weather-related disasters, and the environmental and social implications of global climate change, have drawn attention to the need for sustainable long term solutions to our ever-growing thirst for energy. The Florida Renewable Energy Expo focuses on addressing these issues with approaches that will meet our state's need to reduce its carbon footprint, create local economic security and lessen our demand on foreign fuel imports. If you hang around til sunset, you can catch a FREE screening of The 11th Hour - a solutions-oriented documentary about the current environmental crisis and what you can do to help solve it. |
