Greetings!

I'm blushing! Thank you thank you thank you for voting for us in the recent Best of Orlando poll. And in such good company too! I was so pleased to see the number of indie shops that were winners - looks like OurLando is embracing the local movement with verve!

I say this all the time, but I'll repeat it here for posterity: YOU are the BEST. I can't tell you how many times I thank the universe for sending us some of the most laid-back, friendly and intelligent folk to be guests in our humble home. It is so rare that any of ya'll are cranky, and we love ya for being patient with us on those occasions where we are rushing around to keep up with our constant growth.

So, thank YOU for being so darn rad. For being so open-minded. For being so supportive. And for being so...hungry!
Much love, peace & prosperity for each of you in this community!

p.s. we've been nominated for another shot at best teahouse...click on the "AList" icon at left to show 'em you love us!
Help Us Say Bon Voyage to Daniel & Suzi
Our tribe at Dandelion is such a close family, so it's always difficult to send off one, let alone TWO of the crew. We are so happy to see where Suzi Q & Daniel wander purposefully in life, but so darn sad we won't be bumping into them through our swinging kitchen door on a daily basis.

Please join us this Friday, July 27th at 8pm for "The Last Supper" - a delicious vegan meal created by Daniel for us all to enjoy - and send them off with your well wishes. Click here for more details.

Suzi & Daniel have been a part of Dandelion since we opened our doors - they have brought so much to life and warmed so many hearts in our community. We met Daniel when he came to volunteer to help us paint the cafe before we opened & got to know Suzi at the College Park Farmer's Market around the same time. We knew we needed some amazing, centered people on board to help bring Dandelion to life, and that is most definitely what we've been blessed to have amongst us in this pair.

As serendipity would have it, Suzi & Daniel met here & are now a happy couple ready to strike out on their own to see where the world might take them. They are headed up to Asheville to join a vibrant community of eco-minded individuals and make their way in this world.

We'll also have a collection jar out this week to help them on their way - since they both bike to work on a regular basis, they may need some help with gas money!
Finally: Central Florida Green Guide!
I wanted to let ya'll know about this great new resource: the Central Florida Green Guide is a local website with real reviews by real people for "Holistic-Minded, Eco-Conscious Families in the Orlando Area (natural childbirth, health foods, alternative medicine, and more)." Thanks Jenny for the wonderful review!
Those New Yorkers Sure Do Love Us!
Just blogged about on The New York Post: "The best places to eat, though, aren't in the heart of the neighborhood, rather up in the Little Saigon area. The best known is, well, Little Saigon, perfect for pho, but I prefer to hang out at the ridiculously named but very lovable Dandelion Communitea Cafe, a vegan-friendly but not humorless joint serving a suck-it-down veggie chili and brilliant, rough-around-the-edges but super-tasty hummus." Sustainably yours,
