Winter Home

We have 2 months left outside and its around this time that we start to look for a Winter Home.

Please take a moment to think about where you would like to Winter for 2009-10 Season.  It will be too cold to stay at the Piazza.

Next week we will be sending out a poll for your input on what we should do over the Winter.  However, please make sure to reach out to me with your ideas and I will pass them along to others.  You can do so in person or via our live chat section of the website.
Circle
Dance

I think we may have found a solution to the crowds that gather to watch our amazing dancers and clog up the dance floor.

We will be arm banding the circle dancers and giving them access to the stage - those that wish to watch can do so from the sides of the stage.  Sundae is a dance party and those in question are indeed dancing and should not be punished.

Security will be sweeping the stage of all non dancer all day long.  If you have friends that like to watch, please inform them to do so from the left and right of the stage - we must keep the stairs clear at all times.

Perhaps you can encourage them to dance along with you, instead of getting in your way.

Hopefully this will free up the dance space. We will also be turning the big screen on to the stage so it can be seen from afar.

Please
Touch
Museum

If you have never been to the museum, I highly recommend it.  A way to get into the party next week is to actually visit the museum before 4PM and those already in the Museum will be allowed to stay on premise for the party.

We will have more details next week.  And we are in talks to do a special Sundae party at the Museum.
Dj Del
Bmore

If you are down for a last minute road trip, check out Dj Del who will be playing the Rock the Block street party (kids welcome) with four bands (including Big In Japan & Telesma) and DJ Knowledge & DJ Who from 2pm - 9pm  then @ Shorty's w/ Knowledge from 10pm - 2am.  philaDELphia SOUL, B'More Style!!

700 Block of Clinton Street, Btwn Foster & Fait.  Hit google maps for directions.

This week, So many of you have been asking for 6 year for MKL and this week we deliver.  I think this is his first appearance in Philly since Aqua lounge days!!!.  So make sure to get to the PZA Early and claim your spot to rock on the dance floor.

Next up is Julius the Madd Thinker - Fresh in from Chicago - Julius will be rocking out Silk City from nine till two am.  Silk was great last week and I would like to thank everyone that made the trip over - despite the MONSOON that followed the closing of the Piazza.  The first 50 people in the door get in free - so get to stepping once the clock strikes 9PM.

Late night belongs to one of my new favorite DJs - Billy W is a Vinyl only Dj - strickly old schoool.  Many of you were rocking to him earlier this season when he ripped up Vino.  Now he is on the massive sound system of Pure.  Admission is free with your armbands from Silk City.

MY BIRTHDAY PARTY!!

It's that time again when I grow one year older.  Mark your calendars for another great day in the sun.  Last year we had King Britt, Dozia, Tanja, Ursula Rucker and the B2B band to come together for the celebration.  This year we bring the MAN.  Jay J from Shifted music is coming to Philly to rock the Piazza.

You have been dancing to his music for years and he killed the Sundae Miami party last year.  This is going to be a HUGE EVENT for this World Renowed Artist.  He is flying in special for the party and leaving directly after to hit another gig.

So don't sleep on this - it's going to be "Totally Rad"
Los Angeles is a success

Well the West Coast is in love with Sundae.  This past week was even bigger than the first.  Lars and his crew are holding it down and they even channeled their inner Lee Jones by requesting that people stop standing around and start getting down.

We have been going over the fall schedule and it is going to be massive.

I will be there in two weeks along with some other Philly Djs - to show our new family members how we hold it down on the East Coast.

Rumor has it - Sundae may go DEEP???? Maybe a dream - Maybe only a Rumor.  Stop by if you are in the area.

PLEASE TOUCH MUSEUM PARTY

Next Saturday we will be doing a party at the Brand New Please Touch Museum.  Dirty and I are very excited about this party.  it is a Kingergarten mixer and hundreds of children that are going into school for the first time will come together for a day of fun.

Please Touch Museum will celebrate with some 500-700 soon-to-be kindergarten students
and their families at the 8th Annual Kindergarten Mixer on Saturday, August 8, 2009, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. This is the
second Mixer to be held on the grounds of Please Touch Museum's new home at Memorial Hall in Fairmount Park,
and, for the first time, will also include indoor activities.
"Entering kindergarten is a monumental and exciting step in a child's life," said Please Touch Museum's President
and CEO Nancy Kolb. "We hope to help make the transition a smooth one that gets families involved in a fun way."
In partnership with the School District of Philadelphia's Kindergarten is Key Initiative and United Way, the event
provides families with a free, fun-filled afternoon of entertaining and informative activities as they prepare for
the exciting journey into kindergarten. Parents will get the chance to meet representatives of the School District,
participate in workshops and get tips at an outdoor resource area featuring exhibitors including the Franklin
Institute, Free Library of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Mann Center for the Performing Arts,
Philadelphia Department of Public Health, Philly Tree People, and others.
Highlights will include an opening ceremony complete with larger than life puppets, drums, flags and pom-poms, an
appearance by Please Touch Museum puppet Pinky, and performances by the Freedom Theatre, Two of a Kind, and
musician Louie Miranda.
The 8th Annual Kindergarten Mixer showcases Please Touch Museum's role in the Kindergarten Is Key School
Readiness Initiative. Kindergarten Is Key is a city-wide effort to mobilize families and educators to work together to
transition young children into kindergarten, and is made possible by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and
Library Services.
