We recently received this letter regarding one of our claims professionals, Christine Chapman, and we wanted to share it with you.

Mr Winston Letter
We're proud of Christine as well as the rest of our team of claims professionals who take their job very seriously and do everything they can to provide fast, friendly and fair claims service.
Are you in compliance with NCDOI?
In order to ensure that your license won't be non-renewed for lack of continuing education credits, check your official CE status on the NCDOI's service Prometrics. You can also find the link to this website on the www.NCDOI.com in the "Agents, Adjusters and Bail Bondsmen" section.

Below are step-by-step graphics to lead you through the process to find out your official CE credits and deadlines so you can sign up for courses and not risk having your license cancelled. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call us!

Moving in the right direction?

Agency transitions Change is good so long as you're moving in the right direction!

Have you recently hired a new agent? Give us a call and let us know. "An agent license without an appointment does not give an individual the authority to solicit," according to the state of North Carolina." But ensuring compliance with the NCDOI takes no time at all with our easy-to-use, web-based appointment application.

Click here to download a .pdf form, and fill in the fields, print, sign and fax it to us toll-free to 1-866-667-2409 along with a copy of each agent's license. Rather save on paper? There is also an online form that may be filled out. Once that has been completed, all the agent will need to do is fax a copy of their licenses. We'll process the appointment and let you know when your new agent can start producing business with InsTrust!

Perhaps you've had a few more changes at your agency. When an agent no longer works at your office, the first change you need to make is to your password. Just give us a call at 1-866-665-2410, ext. 2604 and we'll be happy to create a new passpword for your access. When you call to change your password, let us know the agents who are longer employed with your agency so we may update your files.

If you have any questions about how you can remain in compliance during agency transitions, please do not hesitate to call marketing at 866-665-2410 ext. 2604.

Results are in: Success!

Sucess!A few months ago we revised reinstatement procedures and billing notifications. Now that the procedures have been place for a couple of billing cycles, we are pleased to report that the new reinstatement procedures and late fee billing notifications have been extremely successful in keeping more of your customer's policies out of cancellation status thus avoiding commission chargebacks and booosting agency revenue!  It was a difficult time for everyone, as it is anytime change occurs, but all reports, including your last commission statement, show that you are keeping more commission than in prior months. Keeping more income in your agency and retaining more customers is exactly the medicine every independent insurance agency needs right now.

Thank you for your cooperation adopting these measures and your understanding during this transition.

To help ease the transition we also rolled out a new feature in InsForce that allows you to find the "Amount to collect for Reinstatement" quickly and easily. Here's a recap if you happened to miss the memo:

Now when you click on the Billing Inquiry Link or Policy Inquiry Link, you'll find a field titled "Amount to collect for Reinstatement." This new field shows the total payment needed to reinstate the policy. Now, in just about the same amount of time it takes to dial our number, you can have current and accurate answers to your payment questions!

It is important to note that the amount shown in the field will change as time or other transactions occur for the policy. It will be current as of the date and time you view it on the screen but if any time goes by between your viewing the information and taking the payment, please go back into the billing detail page to ensure that nothing has changed before you accept payment.

There will be times that you will see a "0" in this field. That means that either the policy is active or that it is not eligible for reinstatement. If it is not eligible for reinstatement this is typically because more than 45 days have occurred since the cancellation date. However, it may also mean that there is an Underwriting Memo or some other notice that must be resolved prior to the policy becoming eligible for reinstatement. So, if the policy status is canceled and you see a "0" in the field "Amount to Collect for Reinstatement" and 45 days have not passed since the cancellation date, please contact our Customer Service Department for assistance.

But wait, there's more! Now you can also find Policy Status and Cancellation Date on the Policy Inquiry page and Billing Detail page. So now you can get to all the billing info you could ever need by simply clicking on the Billing Inquiry link, entering the policy number or the insured's name and clicking on the policy number.
Endorsements online are quick & easy!

When you need to make an amendment to a policy, please log in to InsForce each time. All endorsements are made online, a quick and easy process that you and your customers will appreciate. If the endorsement causes the premium to change you will see the impact and you save them should someone just need to see a "what if" scenario. All endorsements provide you a confirmation page so you have peace of mind that it is done and that can be filed in the customer's folder. This is the way all endorsements should be done. Calling our Customer Service for Endorsements should only be done if the policy is in a renewal or cancellation status or if an inexperienced operator is being added. If you would like assistance familiarizing yourself with the process, give Kristen a call at 866-665-2409 ext. 2604. We can send you information that outlines each step and/or hold a webinar for your agency at your convenience.
