OCWM IS REALLY A VERB

"How can we help you?" At a recent staff retreat, all the members of our team decided that we are really the "Service Department" of the United Church of Christ in central Pennsylvania. We want to help you with your mission, which is a very important piece of the larger mission of the Church. We want to connect you with the people and the resources that you need to make a difference in your community. Every time you get stronger and more vital, we get stronger and more vital. So when we say "How can we help you?" we really want to hear the answer. We love "OCWMing" with you!

RELIGION AND POLITICS: WHAT'S AT STAKE IN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

In this election season, when matters of faith once again overlap with issues of public policy, Lancaster Theological Seminary is offering a series of public nonpartisan presentations to explore the intersection of the spiritual and the political. Dr. Lee Barrett, Professor of Theology, will present this four-week series (Tuesdays in October) that will include a 45-minute lecture and time for respectful, ecumenical discussion following. All sessions will run from 6:30pm - 8pm in the Hafer Center at LTS.

The cost to attend all four sessions (or any of the series) is $25 per person, and free parking is

available. Congregations may attend as a group for $250 (or $25 each; whichever is the lesser of the two). More information on the series can be found at www.lancasterseminary.edu.
