FAITH IN
Live your faith. Love your community

The Faith In Project is simply a way for all of us in the United Church of Christ - and beyond to our neighbors outside of our church doors - to connect with one another by lifting up our shared mission and faith.

The "Faith In" project launched in Cleveland, the national headquarters of the UCC, in June as a way to proclaim faith in a Stillspeaking God. Churches in the area are already living that faith in their neighborhoods through mission and outreach.

Penn Central Conference has just created a community on the UCC's faithinproject website. Each local church can set one up and members can join their local church and their conference communities. We will soon have Faith In shirts available that you can write in your community.

A NOTE from FAITH, STATE COLLEGE

The Penn State fall semester is quickly approaching, and Faith UCC, State College would like to invite your new and returning PSU students to join us for worship this fall.  In addition, our church has planned a special Welcome Lunch for Penn State students, that will be held Sunday, September 9 at 12:00 p.m. after worship. Please encourage your students to contact us if they have any questions:

http://www.faithucc.infoStudents can also reach us directly by email at faithucc@comcast.net

If you have any questions, contact our Interim Pastor, Pastor Coqui Conkey (faithuccpastor@comcast.net).

GREEN FAITH

During the summer, many houses of worship are planning their programming for the coming year. We know many churches are putting a focus on environmental stewardship. To help you launch programming on the environment, GreenFaith provides "Getting Started" resources - for institutions and households.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION SUNDAY
Sunday, September 9

Fall is quickly approaching! If you haven't yet thought about resources and curriculum for your faith formation or Christian education programs for 2012-2013, now's the time to do it. This year, Christian Education Sunday-or Rally Day-the day that congregations usually designate as a "kick off" to another program year (it's also football season too!)-will be Sunday, September 9.

Last year, this day was also shared with the 10th anniversary of September 11; and a link to those resources is still available on the website.
