Greetings!
What a great month for me! I am just returning from leading a program in France on Sacred Contracts, volunteering at the Millionaire Mind Intensive and getting ready to go camping at Falcon Ridge Folk Festival.
I hope you are living your dreams!!
Going to France taught me to relax and enjoy the moment. Look for the beauty in nature, the joy in your relationships, and the opportunities in your work. We are all well taken care of, we just need to notice.
Best,
Nancy Cantor

Framingham Dream Factory Luncheon
Featured Speaker
Victoria Haffer
Yoga at the Ashram |
Come to the Dream Factory Community Luncheon on July 14th at the Bella Costa Ristorante where Victoria Haffer, Director of Yoga at the Ashram, in Millis, Mass., will share with us how to turn our passion into action.
Victoria's article:
Knowing my life's purpose at such a young age has been such a gift. Since I was a teenager, I have been guided on this amazing journey of assisting others with achieving their goals. My career started in the early 80's as a Personal Trainer/Aerobics Instructor, teaching and coaching others on exercise and nutrition. A bit later, my work eventually evolved into something deeper, facilitating change with clients not just through the physical body, but the mind and spirit too.
Much research is available showing that complimentary medicine such as Yoga, Meditation, Reiki, Holistic Nutrition and various other modalities of healing can have a huge impact on our overall health and wellbeing. Taking an active stance in keeping all aspects of your body, (physical, emotional, mental, spiritual) tuned up and in balance will ensure a more fulfilling quality of life. This has also been proven in my own life and after achieving great healing and transformation through the regular practice of yoga and meditation, I knew it was my life purpose to share this life changing information with others.
So my question for you is, "Are you doing the work you were meant to be doing? Does your work inspire you? Do you wake up in the morning excited to face the day knowing you can make a difference in somebody else's life? Is your work deeply fulfilling?
If the answers to these questions are no, then perhaps it's time to explore the following questions. What makes my heart sing? What am I drawn to? What brings meaning and purpose to my life?
Approaching this dialogue when grounded and centered will ensure much clarity and direction. Find the modality that works best for you to connect to source be it dance, yoga, meditation, walking in the woods, journaling or horseback riding.
These answers may take some time. Please be patient with yourself and the process. Do your best to stay in the moment and trust that you're exactly where you are supposed to be.
Some of the philosophy that has been extremely powerful in my own transformation over the years has been:
1. Staying in the present moment. Anxiety typically lives in the future and regret and depression typically live in the past. Create awareness around how often you live your life in the future or the past. When you notice this, gently bring yourself back to the present moment, right here right now. BREATHE.
2. Going with the flow. Fighting against the current creates much angst and unnecessary stress in our lives. Notice when you are trying to force or control a situation or person in your life and just take a step back, take a deep breath and hand the situation over to the Universe. TRUST.
3. Don't judge others or yourself. Face it, we all make judgments, that's probably something that won't completely go away, BUT we can create awareness around how often we judge. So just notice when you're being "The Judge" and remain OPEN and CURIOUS.
4. What would LOVE do? In every situation throughout the day you have a choice of how to respond or react. You can choose to do it with love or not with love. You always have a choice. CHOOSE LOVE!
5. You create your reality through your thoughts, words and actions. Are you creating the life you want to live? Notice your thoughts, speech and actions each day, how many of them are positive? Think before you speak, "Is what I'm about to say going to inspire, uplift or educate the world?" If not, zip it! BE POSITIVE!
Just like any new skill you must practice regularly for it to manifest into a habit and have it become part of your life. Just like making healthy changes in your diet or incorporating exercise into your daily routine, it takes patience and consistency. Practice, practice and practice some more.
So in the mean time while exploring what makes your heart sing, make a pact with yourself to live life to the fullest and put your all into everything you do. Whether you're a cashier at the Whole Foods Market, a corporate executive or a flight attendant for Jet Blue, remember one person can make a difference and that one person can be you.
So once you figure out your Divine Purpose in life the rest is easy. Work no longer feels like work. It simply becomes a mere extension of your entire life. Ok, so it really isn't a piece of cake, but the satisfaction you receive at the end of the day is all worth it. Just remember to be loving, gentle and forgiving with yourself and breathe.
