Pat Rainville"It's The Climb!" Letting Go and Living Your Dreams!
with Pat Rainville

Maybe many of you have heard that song by Miley Cirus "Its The Climb!"

The best way to describe what I will be doing in my seminar is to give you an analogy...Let's say your going to climb or bicycle up Mt. Washington.  At the top is your dream.  Would you make that journey wearing a belt that had all sorts of strings and ropes attached to it and attached to the strings and ropes were a variety of bags, baggage and suitcases filled with stuff?  Probably not. Why? it would be too heavy, too bulky, it would throw you off balance and snag on things that would yank you backwards.  It would completely slow down your progress or make it difficult to make any progress right? Make you exhausted right?  Maybe even make you give up the journey. Read entire Article...

Carla CataldoDreaming Big as a Sole Proprietor
with Carla C. Cataldo, M.P.P.

As a woman entrepreneur, how do you run and grow your business, especially if you don't want to run a company full of people? Making money and creating jobs is great for society, but how do we do well in a service business, while retaining quality and control?

What do you need for business greatness, and what holds you back? Once you figure out what you need, how do you get it? To quote the Beatles, is one really the loneliest number? Or does being a sole proprietor have to mean we are really alone? Read entire article...

Marlene CampbellThe Global Shift of Conciousness
with Marlene E. Campbell, LMT

A drop of water falling into a body of water creates a ripple, a wave of energy that travels outwardly from the source.

So it is with our thoughts, words, and emotions. They are real energies that travel outwardly from ourselves, affecting all living beings. Our consciousness affects all.

Many ancients, indigenous people, metaphysicians, and Masters have always recognized this power. Quantum physicists know this. More than 30 years of research at prestigious research centers throughout the world have shown this to us. Read entire article...

Be Part of this Year's Silent Auction!
Benefit Alliance for Cultural and Economic Exchange!

It's that time of year again. The Dream Factory Community is hosting its 6th Annual Retreat & Conference. An important part of the event is the Silent Auction which supports the nonprofit sponsors of the conference.

There are two huge benefits for contributing to the Silent Auction.

1) It gives you and your business visability and quite likely at least one new client.
2) It gives you a tax deductible contribution AND the knowledge that you are making a difference with the fund recipients.

We hope this is incentive enough for all members of the DFC - and beyond - to contribute to the Silent Auction - a gift basket, a gift certificate or something else. Let us know your proposed donation and its value. If you'd like to explore what might work, give me a call and I'd be happy to talk with you. Read entire article...

Naomi PaulInvest in your Health; It Will Pay Dividends!
by Naomi Paul

Care enough about yourself to invest in your own personal health account; it pays dividends short term and long term.
Think of a bank account.  Would you agree that the more money you invest in that account, the more money you will have when you need it?  The same is true for our health.  The more we invest in nourishing our bodies and feeding it real food, the greater return we will earn on our investment (good health!).  And we will be paid big dividends:  lose weight without dieting, have more energy, build a strong immune system, look healthy and young naturally, reduce our risk of disease.  Is this worth the investment? How To Make Your Resume Stand Out

by Nancy DubeNancy Dube

As a Human Resources Manager, with 25 years of experience, I was asked for my help in writing a resume. Thousands of resumes have passed through my hands but when it comes to writing my own, it is more difficult. Most people find resume writing challenging. A resume is nothing more than a polished piece of advertising, but an important piece, especially in today's job market. Employers report that most resumes get only a 15-20 second glance. If you don't capture the reviewer's attention and interest quickly they will pass you by and call in someone else for the interview.Read entire article...

Penny DicksonWe Are One
by Penny

Miracles happen every day yet it's rare when we recognize them. Life spins so fast.
Our focus is on how much we do instead of how much we notice. On our most recent Women's Wilderness Retreat held last weekend, ten women experienced many moments that were akin to witnessing miracles all through the powerful sharing and open hearted energy that is unique to women.

Ten women came together to attend a snowshoeing weekend in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Some of the women knew each other, yet several were new to everyone.
For me the goal was to offer a comfortable place for women to gather for a relaxing yet rejuvenating weekend which included learning to snowshoe, learning about health and wellness through new cuisine and the benefits of juicing, experience the benefits of reflexology, and learn about wine pairings through a wine tasting.

The weekend was so much more than that! Read entire article...

Goddess OceanaWhat's Breath Got to Do With It?
by Goddess Oceana

Sensuality, luscious beauties, begins with the breath. As a yoga teacher, over the years I have come to realize that just about everything has to do with breathing. When my little boy, who deals with hypersensitivities, has to endure something especially uncomfortable, I have taught him to use pranayama, or yogic breathing techniques to help him calm his mind, and ultimately cope with the discomfort. When I teach yoga, I'm teaching breathing techniques and breath consciousness while I teach postures. It's actually more important, in my opinion, than the body postures because of how it affects the mind...and I think we all know that the mind is inextricably linked to sensuality! Patricia RainvilleAre You "Waiting on the World to Change?"
by Patricia Rainville

Are you "Waiting on The World To Change"?
Are you ready to DREAM BIG and start asking yourself "If I Could Change The World"?
What would it take to do that?

LADIES, IT'S TIME TO DREAM BIG!

We have all had times where we may have felt insignificant and powerless to change the world or environment around us. It is important to remember that as human beings we have two very powerful tools at our disposal that we use every moment of every day. They are our feelings and powers of visualization. These two innate abilities that we all have create our reality and our future every day. They lay the foundation of what we will experience in the years to come. Read entire article...

Storytelling - The Key to Your SuccessCarrie Johnson
by Carrie Johnson

I talk a lot about how important good storytelling is to the women in a business planning class I am teaching. Then along came Nancy Engel, owner of Sunny Window in Southborough, and knocked the ball out of the park. During her talk about e-commerce and websites, Nancy told her story. She said she started her business with $30 from her last welfare check and now travels to France, Turkey and other countries each year to find unique products for her customers. Her story gained her attention from major print and electronic media, which helped increase her sales. She said she got millions of dollar worth of free publicity just by telling her story the right way. A home run! Read entire article...

Social Media Marketing
by Carrie Johnson

Workshops, webinars, hands-on training - I have done it all and am finally working through the trauma that social media marketing and social networking have caused me. And, though the idea is beginning to penetrate my brain, the fog remains thick. I can say that I am much further along than many small business owners I talk to - they are too overwhelmed and mystified to even think about what social media or social networking means. Tracy HarrisonGot Winter Depression?
by Tracy Harrison

I see a lot of different types of health challenges in my counseling practice. Some of them, however, seem to show up over and over again. The past few weeks I have seen a lot of the "Winter Blues" or what would clinically be called mild depression. It seems that winter is the time of year people struggle the most to stay positive, uplifted, energetic, and motivated.

Now here's an interesting and related fact... Did you know that the first three months of the year (Jan-Mar) are the most common months during which people begin taking antidepressant medications? No surprise, huh? But did you know that research repeatedly shows these drugs to be no better at alleviating depression than a sugar pill. It's true! Read entire article...
