Greetings!

Welcome to the August Newsletter for the Dream Factory, a community of women entrepreneurs who are committed to living their personal and professional dreams.

We will introduce you to ideas and opportunities that will support you in taking on your life, your work, and your world.

August is a good time to connect with like-minded people and expand your referral and client-base while doing interesting, fun, outdoor activities. Anytime can be a networking opportunity if you are focused on what you are creating.

Featured this month are two water events; one at a pool and one on a lake. We have team-building exercises, poolside, at our August Women in Business Luncheon.

Then we have Family Fun Day at Wayland Town Beach, August 15th, 12-4pm with a rain date for August 16th. Both events will provide a natural setting for networking and fun.

The last summer event is part of a Women's Empowerment Series led by Nancy Cantor, August 25th, 11:45-1:30pm at the Bella Costa Ristorante sponsored by the MetroWest Chamber Women's Initiative. Topic: Honing Your Networking Skills. Learn what it takes to be a successful networker.

On Wednesday, August 26th, 9:00am- 4:00pm, we are featuring our CDO Training. Recent participants said: I am inspired, I got to express my hopes and dreams, and it was very helpful in providing a focus and direction.

Check out your new fundraising raffle---all proceeds go to cancer research. Win prizes and make a difference.

Want to make the most out of your summer? Have fun and do the best networking you have ever done.

Please join us.

  • Find Out How the Dream Factory Community can support you

Join us on August 6, 12-2 at Penny Dickson's house, 610 Sugar Rd. in Bolton. Everyone is welcome to bring a bathing suit, to stay later and enjoy the pool.

Support a Great Cause; Win Dream Prizes
PMC Team

Want to support a great cause and be eligible to win great prizes?

This past week I rode 165 miles with my Stem Cell Cyclist Team in the Pan Mass Challenge to raise money for cancer research; specifically for Dana Farber.

As part of my fundraising, I partnered with a friend and longtime rider, Glenn Kaplus, who was diagnosed with leukemia a year ago, to create an event at Dana Farber called: It Takes a Community to Cure Cancer.

We had representatives from the cancer-curing community attend: riders, donors, doctors and patients.

Although I will probably never be an oncology doctor, I am a donor and a rider; and chances are that in my lifetime I will know many cancer patients and may even be one myself.

I have committed to doing everything in my power to have the best resources available to the doctors, the patients, and the facility that is making cancer curable.

Our event was a huge success and as a result--I have another idea. We had some great prizes in our silent auction that were $300+ in value.

I have decided to create an opportunity for any of my additional donors during the month of August to be eligible for a raffle for these items.

For every $25 donated you will be entered to win one of these prizes. Donate $100 and you will have 20 chances. This is new today so go for it and be the first to win. If you have already donated, just donate $25 more and you will get chances consistent with all you have donated.

There is a wonderful Personal History Package--offered by Nancy Coppelman, where you have a private consultation--review your pictures--have them scanned--and then have a beautiful web gallery created in someone's memory or that captures a special event. It is worth $600 and you must live within 1 hour of Holliston.

The second is a Photography Package offered by a local photographer worth $300+. Have a private sitting or make a request for capturing a special moment.

I will be putting together a business consulting package that will include another coach, for entrepreneurs that will be worth $300-500 or more.

There may be more prizes available as we go--so be generous and build your chances for getting one of these Dream Prizes.

You can make your donation online or mail a check made payable to: PMC/Jimmy Fund and send to Nancy Cantor, 27 Tri St, Ashland, MA 01721. In the memo or comment area--say which prize you want or which ones you want your chances to go to.

Remember-it takes a community to cure cancer and you can be part of the cancer-curing community just by donating. Good luck and be generous. The drawing will be August 31th and be announced in our September Newsletter.
