Finding Peace in Challenging Times
|
|
"Peace, It does not mean to be in a place
where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It
means to be in the midst of those things and still be
calm in your heart."
It is no secret that as we look at the world around us
we are all faced with newly emerging challenges,
economic and political concerns, and worries
about
our health.
As many may be experiencing feelings of
insecurity
and uncertainty, never before has it been more
important to strive to find feelings of peace,
enthusisam and optimism.
Despite what we witness going on in the world, it is
important to remember that life is not happening
to us,
we are happening to life.
To many this may seem unrealistic, however by
learning how to become more aware of what one
is
thinking and feeling is one of the single most
empowering approaches to taking back one's
power
and influencing what we experience next in our lives.
Come sit by the pool, relax in the sun, enjoy great
food, conversation, and the company of good friends
and innovative women as we explore strategies to
rediscover our innate capabilities, put ourselves back
in the driver's seat of our life's journey, and find
our
way to peace!
Learn how to:
- recognize who is "driving your bus" and take back
your power
- understand the importance of becoming Mindful
and witnessing your thoughts
- find our inner place of Heart Space
- explore and understand the power of Imagination
- speak the language of Intention and Creation
This talk is designed to be fun and empowering,
offering tools for "experiencing" for anyone
who wants
to increase their personal power and enhance
their
manifestation abilities.
"We are not as powerless as
we think, nor are we victims without options or control.
We are so much more than we really know and it is
time for us to awaken."
Marianne Hennigan is a RN, a certified
healing
facilitator skilled in the areas of Reiki, Tachyon
Wellness, Matrix Energetic and Quantum Healing, and
the founder of Golden Light Wellness in Hopkinton
MA.
She is a passionate advocate for a holistic
approach to healing offering individuals the
opportunity to empower oneself and fully achieve their
ultimate potential for wellbeing.
Join us on July 9th, 12-2 at Marianne Hennigan's,
6 Stewart St. in Hopkinton, MA.
Can't make it and would like to explore this topic?

It Takes a Community to Cure Cancer; July 28th, 7-9:30pm
|
|
Cancer touches all of us. Have you ever
wondered
how you would react if you received the news, "you
have cancer?"
Recently my friend Glenn Kaplus, a 25-year
PanMassChallenge rider,
was diagnosed with leukemia. After the initial
shock,
disbelief, denial, and acceptance, he has chosen to
ride again and fundraise for Dana Farber.
Glenn's amazing journey has inspired him to partner
with me to host an event for all the people who are
working together to cure cancer; the doctors, the
patients, the donors and the riders, at the Dana
Farber, the world-class facility where all the research
and treatments happen.
We are calling this event, It Takes a Community to
Cure Cancer, because it does.
Ever wonder about the importance of the relationship
between a patient and his doctor? Come meet
Glenn
and his attending physician, Dr Fischer.
Want to know the latest on cancer research?
Learn
about Stem Cell Research from Dr. Corey Cutler.
Meet our Pedal Partner, 4-year old, Declan
Rourke,
and hear about his amazing story of recovery from his
dad, Tym. Meet other donors, meet riders,
It Takes
a Community to Cure Cancer.
We will start the evening with a wine and food
pairing by Tracy Harrison, a natural food
caterer, and Marianne Haldoupis, of the
Inspired Grape. The event will be followed by a
tour of Dana Farber's
research labs and the PMC Bridge to Progress
with
David Read, who works at Dana Farber and is
also a PMC rider.
I request that you
support this important cause. Suggested
donation for It Takes a Community to Cure Cancer:
- Individual: $150
- Couple: $250
Any individual can find a partner and become a
couple. If the price is a challenge, it is called the
Pan
Mass Challenge, you can do your own
fundraising.
Just let me know and I can provide you with a letter
to
use and coaching for being successful.
You would be surprised at how generous people are
and how easy it is to raise money for a good cause.
- Silent Auction items are also welcome.
To Donate: Use the link below; it leads to my
fundraising site. Checks made out to
PMC/Jimmy
Fund, can be mailed to Nancy Cantor, 27 Tri
St.,
Ashland, MA 01721.
E-mail Diana Pruzinsky to reserve a spot at
the event: drpruz@hotmail.com or call at:

Dream Factory Supports Rain Forest Scholars
|
|
We at AlliancExchange want to extend our
heartfelt
thanks to the Dream Factory Community for
the
funding of two more Rainforest Scholars from
Rio
Blanco community possible.
Because we had the opportunity to manage the
Silent
Auction and Raffle at the Women's Conference &
Retreat, Be The Change You Can Believe In, we
were
able to raise over $800 for the Rainforest
Scholars
Program.
Two young women, Yalic and Elsa, will be the
recipients of those funds for the 2009-10 school
year.
Our goal is to have all of our young people
sponsored
by individuals or organizations, preferably for the
duration of their secondary school education.
We hope that we have found a model whereby the
Dream Factory Community can continue to
sponsor
Yalic and Elsa who have 3-4 more years of school
each.
In the fall of 2009, 4 more youngsters from Rio
Blanco
have asked to enter the program. At the same time,
many children have expressed an interest
from other
communities in the region.
Again, a huge thank you to you and your members for
your continued support. We are excited about the
increased depth of our partnership.
