Be the Change You Can Believe In

On an island off of Japan, scientists were supplimenting the food for the monkeys by leaving sweet potatoes in the sand. The monkeys loved the potatoes but didn't appreciate the gritty taste.

One day a young monkey washed her potato in a near-by stream. She taught some of the others to do it too. The habit spread--but then something amazing happened. When they reached critical mass, 100 monkeys, monkeys on another island, who never were taught to do it, started washing their potatoes.

Author Ken Keyes, Jr. writes in December, 1981, "The Hundredth Monkey Phenomenon (to find out more click on the picture) shows that when enough of us are aware of something, all of us become aware of it. That concept confirmed my own intuitive trust in the basic tenet of my work - that the appreciation and love we have for ourselves and others creates an expanding energy field that becomes a growing power in the world.

There is no need to feel helpless or get paralyzed by hopelessness. We know we have the power to make changes if we can join together and raise our voices in unison. There is more power in numbers that we ever hoped to dream about!

I call for us to let our numbers grow exponentially as we all take it on ourselves to spread these messages.

We are the bearers of a new vision. We can dispel the old destructive myths and replace them with the life- enriching truths that are essential to continued life on our planet."

Please join the Dream Factory Community as we gather to make changes at our Annual Conference, "Be the Change You Can Believe In." We will focus on how to make positive changes that bring about lives, work and a world we can all be proud of.

Come participate in a dinner on the evening of Thursday, June 11th and workshops 9-2pm on Friday, June 12th. Throughout the conference, we will have a silent auction with the proceeds going to our partners, Alliance Exchange and Blackstone Valley WomanAid.

We look forward to a keynote talk on Thursday night by Carrie H. Johnson, author of, "From the Pits to the Palace," an autobiography that describes her journey from single welfare mom to co-owner of a 3.5 million dollar business.

On Friday, we have a surprise speaker, and workshops to support you in taking on your work, environment, finances, and your world.

Want to make it a retreat? Overnight accomodations are available. Early Early Bird special on tuition until April 16th.

Greetings!

Welcome to the April Newsletter for the Dream Factory, a community of women entrepreneurs who are committed to living their personal and professional dreams.

We will introduce you to ideas and opportunities that will support you in taking on your life, your work, and your world.

April is the time when the world in the northeast begins to change. New growth, new colors, new opportunities; a time of re-birth. We encourage all of you to look to see the changes you want to make in yourself and your business.

The member featured this month at the Women in Business Luncheon is Pat Lovejoy, PT and Feldenkrais Practitioner. In her 30+ years of working with clients, she has noticed a correlation between thoughts, feelings, and experiences and how the body moves. She will work with us to discover how small changes in habitual movements can alter what is possible in our lives.

Did you ever wonder how everyday toxins in the air, water, and food affect our bodies? Whether visible or not, they can bring about stress, headaches, anxiety and disease. For Ladies Night Out, Beatriz Sanchez and Tess Roberts will offer a A Detox Spa Journey where everyone will purify their body, refresh their mind, and invigorate their spirit.

The Women in Business Luncheon is on Thursday, April 16th, 12-2 at the Aegean Restaurant in Framingham.

Ladies Night Out is Friday, April 24th, 7:00- 9:00pm at 18 Adams Lane in Wayland, MA.

Please join us.

Making the Impossible, Possible by Pat Lovejoy, PT, MA, CFP

I have been a practicing physical therapist, counselor, and Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner over a long and diverse career.

I have been trained in methods that enhance a person's ability to sense, feel and act in life. When people become more "in touch" with their concerns and the nature of their choices and actions in life, it allows them to see the relationship between those things and the quality of their life.

By working with habitual patterns, first through the awareness of them and then through altering them, you can re-program yourself to live more consciously and with more freedom.

You will be amazed at how small changes can have an impact on what is possible in your life. In the deepest sense, you will begin to actually reorganize yourself and expand the nature and quality of how you function in an ever changing environment.

As Moshe Feldenkrais, the founder of this method says, "Let's make the impossible possible, the possible easy, and the easy elegant." To find out more, click on the picture above and come experience this life-altering work at the next Women in Business Luncheon on April 16th.

Detox Spa Journey by Beatriz Sanchez and Tess Roberts

Have you ever been to that point where the stress of daily life gets to you, and you feel tired and overwhelmed? Have you ever felt that doing one more chore or running one more errand is just about all you can handle?

Well, maybe you ought to listen to your own body telling you "it is time to cleanse and purify" Maybe it's time you give your body a chance to "detoxify".

Detoxification supports the body's natural ability to cleanse and restore itself. Over time, toxins can build up and overwhelm the body, weakening the immune system and leading to poor digestion, fatigue, stress, skin breakouts, stiffness, weight gain and premature aging.

It is through the skin that we eliminate toxins, substances that can create an irritating or harmful effect on our system. When the skin, liver, kidneys, lung and digestive tract can't effectively eliminate toxins, they build up causing a negative effect by overloading our bodies.

We invite you to escape the stress and toxins of daily life with a luxurious spa journey to purity and revitalization, with sea extracts and marine botanicals that deeply cleanse and rid your system of the internal and external toxins that come to you through the air you breathe, the water you drink, the objects you touch and the food you eat.

Any time is the right time to take a Detox Spa Journey It starts close to home or at a friend's, but far from telephones and to-do lists. .

Join us at the Ladies Night Out Detox Spa Journey on Friday, April 24th at 7:00pm at 18 Adams Lane in Wayland.
