Happy Dream Year 2009
So you want to have a Happy Dream Year?
Mary
Heath and Judy Giovangelo have some
great advice
about how to stay clear, focused, and organized in
your
mind and body.
Let's also look at your feelings, attitude and
principles.
It would be logical to look at 2008 and see the
challenges, but is that the whole story?
What about looking at what you are grateful
for, what
you appreciate, what you
accomplished?
I know as I am writing this article, I am grateful for the
beautiful sunlight streaming through the window. I
appreciate the way it reflects on the wall of family
photos and am grateful for good times over the
holidays. I am grateful for the wonderful partnerships
formed in 2008 that have led to opportunities in 2009.
That's right...make that list. It is so important
as you
transition from one year to the next to be grateful,
acknowledge the
accomplishments and see the territory you have
taken.
Now, from that good feeling of gratitude and
accomplishment, you
can plan what is next. What do you have to
contribute?
Where do you want to make a difference? Where can
you be generous?
I want to expand my reach and support millions in
living their dreams through my writing, courses,
coaching and Dream Factory Communities. I
want to
connect people with what they need to succeed, which
includes others' work, services, and ideas.
After seeing where you can be generous, look
to see what you would be open to receive.
I am willing to receive from
everyone I make a difference for; companies,
organizations and individuals. I am open to receive
support, partnership and monetary contribution.
So look for yourself---write your list. If you

Dream Year Exercise you can use.
Wishing you a year of gratitude and
generosity--A Happy, Healthy and Properous
Dream
Year!!!!

Making your New Year's Resolution Stick by Mary Heath
|
|
As a certified hypnotherapist, I work with people who
want to ditch bad habits all year long. And since the
recent research shows that only a dismal 12% of
New Year's Resolutions are successful, I've
decided to share a few secrets.
All habits - good and bad - live in your
subconscious mind. It is part of its job to take
over patterns of thinking to free up the 10% of your
mind that makes conscious decisions.
So how do you use this understanding to chuck
your own bad habits? Here are a few rules:
Be smart about what you resolve to do. Choose
one thing that has meaning for you and make
achieving your goal vivid. One resolution is
enough. To get your subconscious mind on your side
first get yourself relaxed and eliminate distractions.
Picture yourself achieving your goal.
Understand that what you get in life is not just
what you intend but what you rehearse. On
average, it takes 21 - 30 days to create a new
habit.
Give yourself a month of daily practice with mental
reminders like affirmations to bolster your everyday
action plan.
Write down your realistic goal with measurable
results and baby steps to get there and track
progress. This is part of mindfulness to keep you
on track. Stay focused. Place a bold magic marker x
on a calendar for every day you do something toward
your goal and make those x's into links on a chain.
Don't break the chain even if on a particular day you
only do a little something.
Reward yourself for progress.
We are all like those Pavlovian dogs in old psychology
experiments. You want to associate the efforts you
are making with something good to strengthen your
new fledgling positive habit.
When you are organizing a jailbreak it's nice to
have buddies. Research shows that your
chances of success increase by 10% if you make
your goals public and you get support from
others. Join an online community or just call a
friend.
Come to the Dream Factory Women in Business
Luncheon on
January 8th so I can help you have a Dream
Year. You already
have a natural support structure. Use it!
Happy New Year!

Listening to Your Inner Compass by Judy Giovangelo
|
|
- Are you running on empty?
- Is your body exhausted and you don't know why?
- Are you having difficulty shutting off your brain at
night?
- Are you too busy taking care of everyone else and
not taking time for yourself?
Women today are more stressed then ever
and need
tools and skills to create more balance in their lives.
When you are in a stressful situation, consider the
following tool to help you re-center yourself.
- Connect to your breath.
- As you breath, notice where you feel the stress
in your body.
- With each inhalation, draw in peace, light,
calmness.
- With each exhalation release all stress and
tension from your body.
- Continue to breath until you are calm and
relaxed.
This practice brings you into the present moment.
With daily practice, you will change your
internal pattern of reacting out of stress to
responding from a place of awareness and strength.
Join us for Ladies Night Out, for a fun-filled
evening of yoga, meditation & art to learn
more tools to reduce stress, increase
body awareness, learn to intuit your inner feelings
and images and express your creativity.

focus.new ideas..and meeting fun new
people..and
having a fun and productive year!!!
In developing my 2009 business plan, starting a
Women's Networking group was on the
agenda.
At a recent women's luncheon, I was introduced to
one of the most fabulous opportunities for my
business in 2009!!!
I was introduced to the Dream Factory, a
networking community for women in
Metro West and Central Mass, that fosters
friendships, personal growth, business development
and fun!!
I was so dazzled by this opportunity that
I joined this community!
I would love women to come and hear about what
it is
all about in a meeting that I am having at my
house.
I've asked Nancy to come and talk about what it's
all about with you."
