National Guard Bureau and Associated Builders and Contractors 
 

 

How the National Guard Bureau Uses Apprenticeships to support the Guard in building civilian ready careers.

Major Lee has twenty years National Guard Service, plus eight years on active duty serving as the Guard's Section Chief, Soldier and Family Support Division as Chief of the 
Major Lee      

Outreach Initiatives and the Program Manager for the Guard Apprenticeship Program Initiative (GAPI) and the Job Career Education Program.  Major Lee is originally from Philadelphia, PA and taught for 20 years in the public school system.




James Baker


   
James Baker is Director Workforce Development with the Associated Builders and Contractors  (ABC), a national organization with 74 Chapters representing 22,000 merit shop construction and construction-related firms with nearly two million employees. ABC's membership represents all specialties within the U.S. construction industry and is comprised primarily of firms that perform work in the industrial and commercial sectors of the industry.  He currently serves on both the NCCER and Construction Users Roundtable's Workforce Development Committees is an employer representative of the US Department of Labor's, Advisory Council on Apprenticeship.
