It's Almost Time for the Big Race!
|
The 2012 Duck Derby is fast approaching and we are still selling ducks to anyone who has yet to purchase one! If you have not purchased your duck entry for $20 yet, you can still get your duck by visiting duckderby.com today! Remember that when you purchase your duck entry for the race you will also receive a FREE Jet Express companion ticket!
Presented by United Way of Erie County and Sandusky Main Street Association, the Duck Derby features prizes including a pre-paid lease on a 2012 Chevy Cruise, compliments of Kasper Auto Group; two all-ports season passes on the Jet Express, provided by The Jet Express; a weekend getaway package at the Kalahari Resort, provided by Kalahari; and a $1,000 Sandusky Mall gift package, compliments of the Sandusky Mall.
Race day is on April 20th at the Kalahari Waterpark, and duck entries will continue to be sold even on the day of the race. If you wish to buy your duck on race day, you can stop out and buy one or even a team at the Big Five (front desk area) at Kalahari from 10 AM until 7 PM. Please note that on race day, ducks will only be sold at Kalahari.
Lucky Duck owners do not have to be present on April 20 to win prizes, although we encourage you to come out to Kalahari on race day to enjoy everything we will have to offer on that day in addition to the race. We will have an entourage of mascots available that you can have your picture taken with, including our own mascot Ducky Dugood, there will be a parade before the race involving local law enforcement and drummers from Huron High School, and even Miss Ohio and Miss Vacationland will be in attendance!
There are numerous ways you can purchase your Lucky Duck for the big race:
1) Go to any Kasper Auto Dealership
2) Go to the Sandusky Mall Customer Service Center or the Gift Wrapping Station
3) Purchase on-line at www.duckderby.com
On Race Day (April 20) ONLY: Go to the Big Five (front desk area) at Kalahari on Race Day between 10 AM and 7 PM. Please note that on race day, all duck sales will be conducted only at Kalahari. |
