Lab and Office Moves at PMB

As you may have noticed, there are quite a few moves happening in Koshland Hall right now.  Most of the activity is due to the many MCB Labs on the EL and GL level of Koshland that are moving to the new Li Ka Shing building.

The Glaunsinger lab also moved from 371 Koshland to 565 Li Ka Shing.  They have a beautiful new lab space that looks out onto a living rooftop and are located next to a balcony with stunning views of the San Francisco Bay and Bay Bridge.  Kris Niyogi, who has become a Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) investigator this year, has expanded his growing lab into the former Glaunsinger lab space.
His office is now located in Koshland 371A, and Marilyn Kobayashi, the Niyogi Lab manager, is in 441A Koshland.    Additionally, the new Helios building at the corner of Hearst and Oxford is scheduled to open in August.  Helios will be the new home for the Energy Biosciences Institute.  The three PMB faculty that are currently in Calvin Hall -- Chris Somerville, Shauna Somerville, and Markus Pauly -- will be relocating their labs to Helios at that time.
