Read to Lead Evening Gala
The celebration of our 10th anniversary was a success!
Those who attended were able to assist in filling our book carts for our Power Lunch programs, meet local authors, have access to the Salisbury House Library, enjoy music from local musicians, and mingle with other supporters of Everybody Wins! Iowa.

The night would not have been a success without the help of our sponsors: CenturyLink, Hy-Vee, Kum & Go, Mid America Publishing, MidAmerican Energy, and Whitfield & Eddy P.L.C. Also, thank you to our guest authors, mentors, board members, donors, and staff who attended the gala.

Warren County Philanthropic Partnership

Everybody Wins! Iowa recently received a $5,000 grant from the Warren County Philanthropic Partnership. The grant funds will help expand our program to reach Indianola elementary school students. The Warren County Philanthropic Partnership was organized to promote and enhance community based philanthropy in Warren County. This grant will help bring together citizens, businesses, and college students to bolster the reading skills of younger students and help achieve the Warren County Philanthropic Partnership's goal.

Summer Programs
We are wrapping up another great school year, but are excited to announce that Everybody Wins! Iowa will have two summer reading programs that are a great way to mentor over the summer months.  These summer programs will be the same basic concept as our Power Lunch program we have during the school year. Mentors will be matched with the same student each week and will meet with them during the following set times to read with each other. The programs will start the week of June 4th and will go through August 8th. We will read at the following locations and times:

Boys and Girls Club: First Christian Club - Wednesdays 10:15-11:00am. Located on the corner of University and 25th Street at the First Christian Church (across from Drake University).

Boys and Girls Club: Levitt Club - Thursdays 12:00-1:00pm. Located at Carver Elementary School at 705 E. University (across the street from Iowa Lutheran Hospital).

If you are interested in either of these programs, please contact Skyla Tracy, Volunteer Outreach Coordinator, at
volunteer@everybodywinsiowa.org or 515-242-8462.
You can also apply to be a mentor on our website, everybodywinsiowa.org if you have never mentored with us before.  We will be working to get mentors matched with students over the next couple weeks.

Thank you for your time and consideration of volunteering with our organization. Please let us know if you have any questions or want more information about either program.
