Spring Retreat "Knowing Him"

April 20-22, 2012, The Lodge at Geneva Ridge

Are you a woman who wants to grow in her relationship with God? What about Jesus, or the Holy Spirit? The trinity is something that is not always an easy personality to understand.

Join us at The Lodge at Geneva Ridge in Lake Geneva for the weekend of April 20-22 as we encourage you to grow in your relationship and understanding of the heart of the Father, the hope of Jesus, and the comfort of the Holy Spirit, with teaching from Samantha Pappageorge, Georgia Gann, and Peggy Fergus.   We'll learn about the character of each and encourage you to grow in your relationship with the trinity no matter where you're at on your faith journey.

This weekend is a wonderful opportunity to get away from your everyday responsibilities and reflect on knowing Him. Join us for a weekend of growth and fun as you get away with the girlfriends of South Park Church! Our goal for the weekend is for you to be encouraged in your journey, equipped to be women of faith, and connect you with other women. Sign ups begin Sunday, March 4
at the Welcome Center. Cost for the weekend is $150.00 for a room of four including all accommodations and three meals.

Spring Bible Study

The Virtuous Women:

Shattering the Superwoman Myth
by Vicki Courtney

A study on Proverbs 31.

What do you first think when you read this title?  Are you single and trying to balance work, school, and volunteering while safeguarding time with friends and family?  Are you married and trying to balance caring for your marriage, children and work not to mention time for yourself?  Are we trying to be Superwomen?

For years Christian women have struggled to understand what the Proverbs 31 woman was all about. Is this the ideal woman? Or is the Proverbs 31 woman an outdated fixture of the past?  Vicki Courtney believes that this passage is not in the Bible by accident but helps us to understand how to be a woman who lives her life with purpose.

Join us for this seven week study where we will hear from women from SPC share their personal stories and teaching before spending time in small group discussion to unravel the mystery behind the Proverbs 31 woman.  We will meet on Thursdays, April 26 - June 7.  The price for the study is $15 which includes a member handbook with minimal daily homework.  Registration begins April 1.

2012 Women's Breakfast
Spilling Over

Thank you to all of the women who came out to enjoy the Women's Ministry Breakfast on February 4th!

Lisa Ballantine inspired us to pour out our lives, to follow our passions and be the light God has designed us to be right where we are. She challenged us to make a difference in the areas that "agitate" us, and be open to allowing our faith to spill over into other's lives. We heard about how that's going to look different for each of us as we heard testimonies from various individuals who shared how their faith spills over into their everyday lives from the hospital waiting room to how they interact with their children on a daily basis to how they extend grace to clients in their business interactions. What a blessing to know that we can make a difference right where we are. Thank you to those who shared, to those who supported Lisa's mission to provide clean water to underprivileged countries, and for being an important part of this special annual breakfast! See you next year!
