| Be The Church - Worship & Adult Sunday School | |
We all want to make a difference, but sometimes we just need a little help getting started. This fall, we are putting our faith in action to make our neighborhood and our world a better place. We invite you to come and serve with us! It won't be glamorous, but a little hard work mixed with genuine caring can make a huge difference. It's what church was meant to be.

| 2011 CROP Walk | |
Sunday, October 16. 1:30 p.m., St. Andrew's Lutheran Church
On Sunday afternoon October 16, men, women, and children from 13 area churches will walk or run together on the streets of Park Ridge to raise awareness and funds to fight world hunger. South Park Church will sponsor a team-and we need YOU! Participants may walk or run a 3 mile or 6 mile route. Each participant will help raise funds that are used to support the Maine Township Food Pantry and other national efforts to fight hunger. The problem of hunger reaches into every community around the globe, and often remains hidden from our everyday sight. As Christians, we have a mandate from Jesus to feed the hungry-and on this afternoon in October we can shine a light on this problem and work against it as a church family.
Sign up will be held at the Welcome Center each Sunday morning September 18-October 9. On October 16 the walk itself will leave at approximately 1:30 pm from St Andrew's Church in Park Ridge. Families, small groups, and individuals are welcome to participate. There will be an opportunity to also donate non-perishable items. Please consider whether you can be a walker or a donor.
