Greetings!
Well, in typical New Jersey fashion, we have gone from winter to summer over the course of two weeks. (So much for Spring?!?). With the current weather patterns that are circulating to our South and West, I encourage you, to take a good look at your power system. As I write this article, I am watching tornado warnings for Morris County NJ. It's been a long time since NJ has experienced storms like this.
If you have any concerns about the reliability of your system, please give us a call and we can dispatch a tech immediately.
Sincerely,
Jeff Berry

Exercising may be bad for your health!!!
Generator exercising that is... Now that we have your attention, are you aware of the consequences of running your generator during a poor air quality day? If the colored image to the right doesn't look familiar to you - chances are you are not checking for NJDEP Air Quality prior to running your generator. The State is enforcing a strict mandate that requires you to check www.AirNow.gov for a daily report before you perform a routine generator test (if your generator is over 37kw). However, you must keep a log book to document every run, test and power failure of your generator system - regardless of kW. Lately, we have seen the individual County Health Departments enforcing this mandate for the State. Fines will be issued for: NO PERMIT, NO LOG-BOOK and/or OPERATING ON A BAD AIR DAY!!!
R&J has developed a solution to this time-consuming dilemma of generator testing. Click the video link to the left to learn more...
As an added benefit with GEN+, your generator and test procedures will now help your company strive towards being environmentally friendly. GEN+ Brochure (.pdf) |
Don't leave your genertor out of the Social Media Craze! Sign up for R&J's Twitter account by clicking the "Follow Me" header, and receive timely Air Quality Updates directly to your computer or smartphone. This way, you will always be notified of the Daily Air Quality. (If the generator starting is not your responsibility, please forward this information to the proper individuals.)

Spring Cleaning Special
A clean generator is a working generator. Let R&J clean your generator inside and out. We will start by performing a full pressure wash of your power system. This will let us identify any worn parts or leaks. At this point, we would recommend a resistive load bank test to clean the exhaust of any unburned fuel. This test will also prove that the machine can carry the rated load.
